Dude just picked one of the ugliest cards ever made. Must be trolling at this point.

Do you actually read complete comments or do you simply pick just parts of them that fit your narrow minded attitude so you can create the impression of being smart? You don't have to answer that, I'll save you the time and do it for you: You are not, it's just pathetic!
Lmao

Never buy a white version of something what will accumulate dust as they'll look like trash pretty quickly. Same goes for household fans, buy black. Also doesn't white plastic and even white paint yellow over time? Which happens faster with.... heat.

Yeah zotac cards had issues with yellowing on the fans for their white edition cards but interestingly the ASUS and the gigabyte 30 series models didn’t have issues or at least I didn’t see any Reddit posts about it. Maybe zotac cheaped out on the coating who knows but yeah that’s a risk

I can't believe people think the colour of the card will make didly squat to the temperatures. The cards cases aren't made of a highly thermally conducting metal, it's a type of plastic and he cards aren't in the sun, their colour is but a 4th order effect swamped by by many other factors. If we were talking about a roof, then yes a white roof is much cooler in the day. If the case of the gpu was actually part of the cooling for the card, things would be different.

If you're seriously scared of your GPU absorbing the light in your room and getting 0.001% hotter, then you should look at some reflective coating, like a polished silver film or tin foil.
He could probably repurpose his hat.

So I've still been looking. There are seriously no pre-orders for anything anymore is there. They just leave us up against the scalper bots and long lines at 4am in the cold?

None of the custom designs we've seen so far, have USB-C :(
Is there a royalty or licensing fee for usb-c? I just don’t understand why they don’t include them in custom AIBs. They did the same thing with the 69xx as well.

Hmmm, I wonder if all RDNA3 cards will come in these sexy almost complete black designs.
I don't know but I'm certainly pleased to see ANY shift away from ridiculously garish shapes and colours on everything.

It's a graphics card, not a carnival ride.

Not that I'm aware of, just a certification cost if you want to put the USB logo on the packaging/product.

Because the AIBs are too cheap to include a USB-C-to-DisplayPort dongle that costs like 10 dollars as part of the bundle. That's probably because they blow the budget on RGB, unnecessarily large coolers, and marketing. How 'bout you just make a simple GPU with lots of features and sell it cheaper than the competition and let the market show you exactly what it wants, you turnips?

Ok, I will tell you in a more simple language. It's more difficult to cool down a black object.

Yep, that signature material, thanks man. :lovetpu:
When you're done, pass the blunt ok

No, that is CLEARLY a gaming controller for the Xbox. With extra ergonomical left-hand metal support so you can put a screw through your hand.

Seriously though, this looks like a badass all-black BMW or something. The ones that go to the length of applying matte paint on top of it all.
I want this.

Just FYI all of these cards have black PCBs and black heatsinks. The only parts that’ll stay cool are the shroud and backplate. The fan motors are probably black, too, leading to a shorter lifespan. These manufacturers need to go out of business.

Is that Type-C capable of both video and data transmission? Currently enjoying this feature on the 2070 Super, which reduces the cabling around my pc quite a lot.
I'm connecting my peripherals through the Dell monitor, which accepts both video and date through it's Type-C display port connector.

Do you actually understand the problem here or simply writing something for the sake of it?

Black objects are warmer than white objects.

Sapphire should cancel this product!

The only thing that should be canceled is your access to the TPU forums. I do not care about if you prefer white, pink, or even rainbow colored GPUs, that's just a question of personal taste, but your claims - based on not fully understood google-findings as it seems - and your inability to quote properly, as well as your attitude is - as I already said - PATHETIC. Your behaviour reminds me of a sullen toddler.

"Black objects are warmer than white objects" - LEARN TO QUOTE CORRECTLY!:

"A black object absorbs all wavelengths of light and converts them into heat, so the object gets warm. A white object reflects all wavelengths of light, so the light is not converted into heat and the temperature of the object does not increase noticeably."

The temperature of an object is not dependent on it's color in the first place but the absorbed energy. In a pitch black environment with no light at all - no I do not talk about a closed computer case - there is absolutely no difference between a black or white object in terms of temperature. A 0° Kelvin cold/warm object stays to be a 0° Kelvin cold/warm object independent of it's color.

In an environment like a computer case the situation is a bit different but still: Unless you do not place your case in direct sunlight or under an IR/UV-lamp it does not matter. You wan't all the heat generated (electric energy being converted into heat, not light) by the installed components to be moved away from them as fast as possible. For this reason we have all sorts of coolers - and it's not uncommon for them to be - surprise! - black. too.

If you need an example: Noctua was kind enough to make a BLACK version of their famous NH-D15S, the NH-D15S chromax.black. Guess what! There's no difference except the color.

Am I the only one that find this design ugly AF?
Apart from the guy who think that black heatsink will cause your gpu to overheat,
Yes

And it absorbs heat better, which is kind of important when you’re designing a heatsink.

But radiation doesn’t really matter when you throw convection and conduction in the mix. I’d be more worried about what sunlight is doing to ambient temps than how much it affects differently colored components with active airflow.

@ARF Just go read it. Thanks to you, i've learn something today
