YouTuber RedGamingTech has put together a list of leaked Intel 14th Gen Core SKUs—they claim that this information was compiled from various tipsters and inside sources. Raptor Lake Refresh is perhaps not a very exciting prospect—i.e. a mild upgrade—for current owners of 13th Gen Core CPUs on the LGA 1700 platform, but upcoming mid-range SKUs could offer a nice performance uplift for those still on 12th Gen silicon (or older) thanks to higher core counts. According to RedGamingTech's list, the refreshed Core i7 series (14700, -K &-F) sports 20 cores and 28 threads, while Core i5 14600 SKUs are rumored to feature 16 cores and 24 threads. Prospective budget-conscious customers are likely to be enthused by Core i3 SKUs getting a refresh with new 6-core/12-thread configs.

Solid? It will probably beat my poor 12900k. Holy cow, that's nuts, in 2 years the i9 turned into the i5.

Imagine the 7600x beating the 5950x in multithreading. That's the kind of leap we are talking about.

The i3 chips moving to six cores is big too.
 
they won't sell K version 6p+8e 14th gen? does the unlocked multiplier even matter this days (unless it will be limited really low)?

The i5 finally get 8P cores is pretty nice assuming similar pricing. I'm also glad quads are dying even as solid as AL and RL quads where for the money. Hopefully cache isn't castrated because for gaming at least that is the more important thing.

Happy we have this much competition on the CPU side wish it was similar on the gpu side.
 
According to this information, no.


All-P-core highest core boost speed, you don't get that with locked intel CPU's.
To be fair, it looks too good to be true. Doesn't make much sense. In the midrange intel was already curbstomping the competition, what's the point of adding more cores? The i5 is already so fast that it forced amd to match their R7 against it, and it still loses handily. I don't understand why they would up the number of cores even further. The i7 was already 50% faster than the R7, making it 70% faster won't convince anyone who wasn't convinced before, these people will buy amd regardless.

It doesn't, but if they actually do this kind of upgrade then well, it will only be good for the consumer so we can't complain. And if they do deliver it then lga1700 platform has been basically as good as AM4 too.

That's exactly my point? Whoever wants performance would already prefer the i7 over the R7, so what's the point of making the i7 even faster? Performance won't convince anyone that isn't already convinced, those people will buy amd no matter what.
 
They need the revenue and can afford to try and go for it. Client segment has been steadily going down for them, hence more cores in hopes of selling more cpus.
 
Nothing to see for me here. K & KS only 200mhz speed bump with same P & E core counts.

Looks like I'll be sticking with my Raptors unless they are somehow OC demons.

The i5's seems like the winners here especially if the 14400's get 8E's.
 
This would be a solid jump for me from a 9900K. too bad im broke! :cry:

If thats true then I might just stay in the i3 range after my current 12100F. 'which was nothing but a good experience for me since early 2022 :)'
If not that then the 14400 looks like a solid upgrade if its priced well enough. 'and the highest I'm willing to go with my current mobo'
 
I'm curious about iGPU. I'd like to switch to a SFF build, in the future: less fans and coil-whine (though it can still happen on the PSU / MB).
Don't need a very powerful GPU - mostly playing Blizzard games (though Diablo 4 does push older / lower tier GPUs quite hard).

It's the same silicon as Raptor Lake, so not sure what exactly there is to be curious about. Just go look at some benchmarks of the 32EU iGPU that's been around since 12th gen.
