Being barely better than a significantly less expensive Freezer and a HILARIOUSLY less expensive TR air cooler while costing 300 bucks and being a pain to fit in a case is… something. I have no idea who would buy this unironically and why.
Once again, such products prove the old adage of “just because you can doesn’t mean you should”.

Even so, $300 is a lot to justify for bling alone.

I can't disagree with the looks, personally I just think that they're worthless. Though it's a different thing if manufacturers put out a cheaper version without a screen but with the same performance.

Good radiator thickness, but bad fans and bad cooling plate. And that bad cooling plate makes the thick radiator useless...

I think the point is that this is way overpriced if we are assessing it on its cooling performance. Plus, I feel the decision to keep this to 240mm and a lot thicker is quite a strange decision. Generally I would consider 240mm AIO for smaller case due to space constraint. But the thickness of the radiator also makes it very challenging to use in a ITX rig. So it is a solution that is not good for any situation other than for the bling.

Can't say I "hyte" this because I'm not the target audience, some people might actually like the combination of eye candy screen, eye candy unnecessarily large radiator that brings no increase in cooling and, of course, ridiculous name. Why not go the whole way and enroll some big bottomed porn stars for the marketing?

The wiring harness is a nice touch. Simple, yet effective - and with Hyte's cases mostly being about vanity builds with a huge amount of glass and everything oriented for display, it makes a lot of sense.

There's a reason radiators aren't usually this thick though; diminishing returns and the need for monstrously loud fans to push air through suck a thick, dense finstack. The other issue is compatibility - this is only going to work in cases that have side-panel radiator mounting locations like the 011D and Hyte's Y-series cases, or cases with so much extra room at the front that an 84mm cooling stack won't interfere with the GPU.

AIOs have their place. Like $50-$100 sure it's easy to deal with and throw it away or whatever when it breaks, but really if you are spending more than $100, a person should consider cheapo custom loop:

I use this kind of stuff for my test benches and folding@home rigs for years. I also buy them 5 pack artic fans. I also splurge and get the thermometer and flow detector for a couple more dollars. If coolant temp is getting warm, just keep adding cheap radiators. 99cent distilled water and a drop of car antifreeze.

the same way most of use dont use a monochrome 15in tube as pc moni.

but at this kind of cost, even the EK predator would be the better deal,
as its using 280, and copper for the rad (iirc).

and still offers G1/4 for upgrades/repair etc, and a better rad (copper)..

I've got alphacool blocks on my main rig. Pretty good stuff, but for my cheap rigs I go cheap.

I actually use the $7 clear vinyl tube from the hardware store, but if you want, you can get the "food grade" stuff in any color or clear:

Ever since I read the "review" over at Tom's for this gimmicky montrousity, I've been waiting for TPU to do a proper review of it. I say proper because the Tom's one doesn't even bother to test both LGA 1700 and AM5 platforms, just LGA 1700, so the results are horribly skewed already. Not to mention, Tom's results are way different that TPU's.

I...hate the looks of this thing. It's like the Hyte team gathered around one day and somebody suggested "how about we strap a smartphone on the block?" in an attempt to snag some brownie points. It's even idiotic when you consider all the weight a motherboard has to bear already, what with brick-like GPUs and big ass Gen 5 SSD heatsinks. Not to mention you have the weight of the stupid smartphone + block sitting on top of the CPU and socket...too much weight concentrated in one crucial area for my liking. The performance is also meh, especially when you consider the price tag. Speaking of price, it's a big hell no from me.

For those inclined, they can buy a cheaper AIO and then get a small Screen made for this purpose from AliExpress quite cheaply
