In case anyone missed it, the OP has already installed W11.

OP said:
Hello, I installed Windows 10 21H2 Enterprise LTSC and I saw that the laptop is very fast, as I said, the device is new, I will switch to windows 11 when the support is discontinued.

But ok....

All have a good day now..

Actually, I think it more like W10.3 by now. That said, W7 was really Vista 2.0 and W10 was really W9, or was it W8.2? Or W8.1SE? ???
Don't remember, but I thought 10 felt like an 8.1 with a desktop that loads slower! (the early-Windows 10 days, especially on 8.1-era hardware, IIRC)

I never hated 10, but 11 seems more refined than 10, ever since I first ran 11 in April, 2022.

Windows 11 user, and my response to the original thread is super laid back:

Win10's pretty good.
Win11's pretty good.
Both will annoy you multiple times throughout the year.
Both are good options, until Win10 support ends. Easy.

I'd recommend Win11 for an install-and-forget experience, at least for now.

Honestly i just went with W11 because i was REALLY TIRED of **cked up updates on W10

Some of them just became corrupted and i couldn't boot it anymore, and it was a very tedious process of recovering all my data and save games from Windows Partition and re-format. And yeah that happened without obvious culprits (power loss, failing disk unit, yada yada)

So far with W11 i haven't had any issues with it and in MY opinion on a AMD platform, is more stable than W10

Yeah, what actually uses more energy, that old PC that barely gets used, or all the resources that go into getting a new machine? I wonder, will most people with hardware that doesn't qualify for W11 just not upgrade at all? Of course MS will nag them to no end, but this might be worse for MS than all those users they couldn't pull away from XP when it EOLed.

Yes, 10's WU seems more buggy, compared to 11, Defender updates are more likely to fail on 10 with WU error code 0x80070643 as well! But I never had a failure to boot or complete boot.

Early versions of 10 (especially sometime before 1809, IIRC) had a bug where you have to "spam" the "Retry" button with the mouse, because 10's WU times out too soon and tells you there was a problem updating, with a very generic error message.

Windows 10 failed to properly boot 3 times after updates over the course of 2 years on me.

The fear of losing all my save games 3 times because of poor updates made me mad lmao

Should have made a poll. Always go with the latest. But like anything, there are exceptions

What do you mean? Extremely slow? If it was extremely slow, then prepare to get another drive! It often is a symptom of impending drive failure.

What i meant is, after some updates, Windows could not boot, it either stuck on a loop or went missing critical files - immediately after some updates.
Trying boot on Safe Mode was always unsuccessful with no ways to repair, regardess of what method i tried, and the only fix was a full format

That's possibly a faulty drive. :( They seem to show as symptoms like that, sudden corruption!

I have numerous computers in this household some have windows 11 some windows 10. I prefer 10 because its what im used to, im sure I will get more used to 11 the more I use it (PC im typing on now is windows 11).

Some of the PCs here have 8gb and some 16gb. For day to day tasks 8gb is just fine in windows 10 and 11. For gaming 16 may be better but a lot depends on your hardware and what games you want to play. The oldest regularly used pc here runs an i7 4790, 8gb ram and a 4gb GTX 980, it plays older games just fine and never eats up more than 6gb of the RAM even when working hard.

In short, you can comfortably install windows 10 or 11 on your pc with 8gb RAM and be satisfied. My advice would be to run windows 10 for now and then migrate to 11 as its a pretty seamless experience doing so.

having friends using wiin11 on similar hw/use than i have, im happy not having switched yet.
all those update/features that introduced "trouble" every couple of month, even if its indirectly say drivers,
show me its not on the level i want, and thats completely ignoring the UI.

trying to quickly change a few things/settings i do by memory, was stopped after about 2min,
as using 11 was so sheity, i didnt care for my (best) friend not having the "best" gaming perf :D

its one thing to be "required" to do thing like (os) shutup/tweaker to adjust behaviour ("E.T. MS phone home..."),
its unacceptable if i have to install/use 3rd party stuff to make adjustments to UI/how it works/fit to my liking.

even on 10, having recently done a clean install, short of tweaks to make some stuff appear like it did in previous os (battery icon/vol popup)
i now cant remember a single thing, i needed open shell for..
