This Week in Gaming (Week 50)

Todd Howard? Let's just hope his impact on the actual game was minimal.
You should know by now that executive producers don't do anything.

I had some fears the game would be awfully optimized but I'm glad to hear that it seems like its mostly okay to greatly optimized depending on the person / source you ask. I cant run the game with my aging hardware at the ideal resolution I'd want so I can't honestly say much of anything personally, but maybe the world of games is healing... (Wishful thinking.)
I bet you can at least run it at reduced scale with that 2080S. After she got passed the beginning of the game, her FPS climbed to 110-120. There isn't much CPU load at all, so I would think that 5600X is plenty as well. It seems that whatever game engine this is using Vulkan has really made it quite smooth. To me it looks better than Hogwarts, but is way easier on hardware.

Good to hear, I can probably drop it to 1080p with reduced render scale and that should work. Hearing it could be using Vulkan is also very reassuring.
