Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+

Kinda mediocre generation, not even beats the previous generation, while the power consumption is about the same. Bit better with rt at least. Real price will be probably much higher so the 5070ti still better option, since dlss is much better than fsr and no buggy drivers. Hopefully nvidia will lower the price of 5070ti later on.

Doesn't work if there's plenty of stock, they'll lose a lot of money. People who bought 5070/80 to scalp likely to lose lots of money now.

There's a shortage of GDDR7, not of 6 though which these cards use.

Should be way more supply than demand soon. Prices in the whole market could collapse.

Not sure why you would expect that particular miracle, given that the target for AMD this generation was RT performance, which they've accomplished.

9070's power numbers are far lower, that points to this card being overvolted way above its efficiency curve to hit the performance target, I'm thinking that 9070 XT at 9070 volts (or even lower) will perform well and draw low power.
 
Great card, energy consumption & efficiency isn't amazing but a UV could help with that. About where I expected. Pretty excited.
Fixed their RT, and the performance is good for the MSRP. This model is within striking distance of the 5070Ti. Wonder how the other partner models will do.

Also a fairly good OC card, holy moly.
It seems like the efficiency gurus will wanna get a RX 9070 (non XT) instead for the efficiency stuff, but for people who aren't as inclined / don't care as much, this is great.

Hope it sells well!

So after everything, it seems like it was AMD who did wonders with the arch and the new 'midrange' is overall faster than their previous top end.

Meanwhile nVidia did jack all for two years and released cards that are ~10% faster in every tier except the unbalanced (read: lack of load balancing), piece of shit melting 5090 which I won't touch with a two foot pole and sold the one I got. F that

This is what a launch should be like. And it's weird saying that about an AMD launch lol
 
600 dollars to 730 dollars for this version, lets hope the MSRP isnt a complete lie like with Nvidia, but we need to see more models
 
Finally AMD is up there with the RT performance! Looking good, but as usual, the chip is pushed hard to be on the performance target. As it is I like it a lot and understand the lineup, I just would love to have a 220-250w card with the fully enabled chip on a compact card, the power thing at least could be adjusted thru drivers.
 
As much as I want to AMD compete with Nvidia,
Sorry guys this just isn't a victory looking at the performance numbers.
It's rather mediocre and slightly underwelming also looking at the pricepoint.
Not bad but not great either

That is my plan - buy a 9070 XT and drop the voltage to 9070 levels.

Understandable of course, I just hope a review of a MSRP 9070 XT goes live before the cards start being sold tomorrow :D
(long time haven't built a PC and have a very strong "need-a-new-toy" itch [no lewdness intended], need to see how the "sanely priced" versions perform)

It's still 10-20% slower in RT than a 5070Ti, it's improved for sure but nothing to celebrate imo
Also look at performance numbers of RT in Wukong...
 
9070xt is my upgrade from 6650xt
 
Overall, I think AMD did a good job of improving towards NVIDIA with regards to HDR, Raytracing, and gaming performance. However, the power consumption on the 9070 XT is pretty bad. Up to 351W with 417W spikes. The RTX 5070 Ti has up to 292W with 356W spikes.

The price is the limiting factor, both for NVIDIA and NVIDIA-lite. Looks like I'm skipping the RTX 5000 and RX 9000 generation as long as my RTX 3080 is still kicking names and taking ass.
 
So just like nVidia, AMD hasn’t improved their efficiency with this launch either.

The Nitro is an overclocked SKU. I expect the efficiency of the cheaper variants such as Sapphire's Pulse to be better.

All that matters now is that the stock and prices stay near MSRP for the non OC models.. if its any better than the rest of the 50 series, it should get AMD some market share. How much? We'll kinda just have to see, but it should up their marketshare.

The 9070XT Pulse is a day-one buy for me tomorrow but I'm going to be trying to undervolt it immediately - I'm generally not interested in GPUs that use more than 250W and I doubt I'll be able to bring the 330W down as far as 250W given how limited the power slider was for RDNA3 cards.

I was looking at the caped 60fps scaling results and this is really great and though heh it's the Nitro OC from Sapphire so it's super power hungry so this is the worst case scenario and the standard models will likely scale very good on power usage.
