ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Hero

Am I correct in concluding that I would be better off with the X870E-E if I need to use the second PCI-E slot for an x4 10GBE card?
Correct! But ASUS also want to scam buyers here - second slot is... wait for it... PCIe Gen 4.0!

While X670 (same board) - Two slots PCIe Gen 5.0 and one PCIe Gen 4.0.

That's fine for my use case. It's not like I'm trying to run two GPUs.

Anyway, it just seems weird that the far more expensive board lacks the dedicated GPU lanes.

I dont know they put 2 RJ45 2,5G and 5G, just one 5G or 10G is enought
Also not many people have more than 1G, because in us or canada it cost a lot, unlike some europeean countries have cheap broadband up to 8Gbits

@Combatus - Hello! I'm looking into this motherboard for my next build with 9950X3D. The question is this:

I still want to use my Xonar Essence STX sound card. Will this prevent the main PCI-E 5.0 slot from running at x16 or I will be fine?

Yes. It will switch to x8 mode.

Oh that sucks. Well, probably I gonna wait for ROG CROSSHAIR X870E Extreme, which it seems is coming soon.

Or take a look on older X670E Hero. It's have PCIe x1 slot.

I'd wait for the top tier Extreme. It should come next 1-2 months. :) I waited, so it's not an issue 1-2 more months.
