I just checked the prices in Germany and currently the cheapest is 2699€. Prices are slowly going down. I think I'm gonna wait a while.

The card is performing much better now. The games are performing very well. Targaryen many thanks again for being patient. That Legendary class is tough to achieve now. Lol!

That's not that bad. Our scum distributors force resellers to buy bundles where they add crap they can't otherwise sell to a 5090. That makes our prices about €1000 more than that.

In Germany the price for the Asus ROG Astral Rtx 5090 has went down to 3200€. Is this now a good price or should I expect the price to go down even further?

Wait if you're sold on buying one. Still way over MSRP.

Če misliš kombinirat 5090 z 10900X je to res slaba kombinacija. Bo treba prešaltat na dosti hitrejši CPU. No, odvisno s čim se ukvarjaš na kompu.

If you're planning on using a 5090 with the 10900X, that's a very bad combo. CPU upgrade probably needed. Depends on what you're doing with your PC.

I'm planning on upgrading to a Zen 5 system later this summer.

No im happy with me 3080 but i never say never who knows what future me dos.

4090 is still a monster at gaming. I wont be moving to the 50series. :toast:

My PSU (Cooler Master V850w SFX ATX 3.1) can only supply 450w on the Nvidia connector/power cable so no, the 5090 is not an option for me.

I'm seriously considering getting THE ASUS ROG ASTRAL RTX 5090 for 3200€. I know that the price still is high but I don't expect it to drop anytime soon. What would you people do? Buy it now or wait a little longer?

I'll wait a little longer. Bought a 5080 at MSRP to tide me over.

I really wanted the 5080FE cause I love the FE design this time, kept refreshing the page for 2 days and got desperate when I saw 5090 available so I ordered one instead.
Now I'm a happy owner of a 5090FE.

If I could buy a 5090 anywhere near MSRP I would but I'm not paying through the nose for something that's already not cheap to begin with. Unfortunately we're still waiting for better prices here.

I wouldn't get one even for 1/3rd of the MSRP. Maybe if it would be priced like 1080 Ti was.

3 thousand dollars to play video games on a pc in my house? Hell no.

I bought a 5070ti and that was stretching it. No thank you. If I hit the lottery...then yes.

Just got the PNY 5090 oc unfortunately at $3200. Boosts to 2.95 ghz out of the box with auto tuning.

Hi everyone. First post :)

So I bought the Asus Astral 5090 OC LC.

What I can tell the card works great. Core goes beyond 3200 MHz while maintaining ~58-62'C at low fan rpm (48%). The water cooled model.
There are two fan systems there. One is on the card, can't hear it under 50% speed. The other one is 3 fan system for the water cooling.
It is all quiet and there is zero fan mode. Great stuff.

Beware it has water pump running at 100% the whole time and you can't change it (as far as I know) via the attached software or MSI Afterburner.
I had headaches in the beginning. I was mad. Somehow I became accustomed to the little...annoying sound coming from under the table.
I hope they do something with it as I was aiming for totally silent PC, having expensive fanless 1100W PSU for that card (costed me 480 EUR)
This GPU has some water pump noise. Not terrible, but it is not silent. So I wish to warn about it.

Apart from the above I have intel i9-285k watercooled as CPU, Asrock Nova Wifi Z890 motherboard (this board supports 9 M.2 drives, with added expansion card)
and there is another GPU in this computer, the 4060 ti 16GB.

The PSU is Cooler Master X Series 1100W PSU. This beast can handle both cards at once!
I let the WAN 2.1 video generation run for 7 hours at max overclocked 5090 GPU. It was pulling at peaks 650W, sometimes 750W from that power cable.
The cable and the sockes are not melted. Video generation using CPU in 10% so this is also worth mentioning. CPU was mainly sleeping, but
two power hungry cards worked just fine with this Cooler Master X Series 1100W PSU.

I bought this 5090 mainly for image to video generation with WAN 2.1 or Hunyuan.
The card has not enough VRAM for this topic. At all. Unless I would work with degraded quantized models. I picked gguf format 14B models.
So 4060 Ti 16GB comes with extra 16GB for help, 48GB total VRAM. ComfyUI MultiGPU setup and It works now.

I hope it helps someone.
