…truly, a must have for those who want to look like absolute tools. If wearing good open back headphones is just too mainstream, well, we have a… battery powered thing to strap to your chair to receive all the same benefits (maybe, most NF speakers sound like ass) in a relatively more expensive, less convenient and significantly stupider package.

Won't work well for gamer who like to lean forward. Would need gaming chair or some mod to even use that.

I have good enough neck rest on my office chair and that thing looks like it gonna give me neck pain.

Based on how well it's implemented and price this might be a pretty cool immersive idea. I can see myself closing my eyes and enjoying an immersive surround soud experience without putting on heavy headphones. And all over-the-ear headphones are heavy no matter how light they are.


I think previous negative negative comments come from Razer doing this. If it was presented differently by a random startup or another company with a more customer friendly bang/buck reputation reception would be much different.

The big-eared creature is called Cheburashka in the original, which I suppose didn’t translate well to Swedish. Does Drutten have any specific meaning?
The crocodile was translated one to one though, he was Gena in the original too, shorthand for Gennady/Gennadiy.

I believe it was just a name they ended up giving it that sounded funny. There's no real explanation that I can find for it anyhow.
However, they did use Drutten for a sugar free "tablettask" for kids. This was a common way of selling small packets of sweets for kids back then.

Not going to lie, I'd be tempted to buy these or a Chinese knock-off (assuming it doesn't end up the same cost due to tariffs). A friend has the OXS Thunder Pro+ setup that includes a headrest with satellite speakers, and I liked the idea of having some simple speakers on a headrest that reduces what I wear though still being close to the ears, though I didn't like the rest of the OXS kit (tacky soundbar).

I already alternate between a modest but well-used RIG headset and an earlier-gen wired Panasonic SoundSlayer Neck Speaker depending on how sweaty my ears get or when the eventual ear/head fatigue pain sets in, while still trying to keep the noise down in the evening and mostly directed at my ears. Having a pair of actual directional short-range speakers on a headrest would be a nice replacement for the SoundSlayer, depending on the quality of sound. I'm not aiming for theater level here; just casual, clear speakers that focus the sound so I can hear footsteps and reloading in games or movies, without disturbing others.

I was considering it as an upgrade, but I'd like to have less things that I'd have to "wear", as well as store awkwardly (it would also free up a drawer I used to keep my old model wired SoundSlayer in when not in use). And given both are within the 250~ USD range, it'd be a matter of giving the Clio a try before deciding whether to keep it or return it and just upgrade to the newer SoundSlayer (or keep the existing one until it finally kaputs on me).
