Oblivion Remastered

After upgrading my 6800 XT to a 9070 XT the game runs flawlessly. Not the fault of Bethesda, my older card was suddenly having issues with any ray tracing content.
I'm very impressed by the new visuals, especially after playing the original 2009 game of the year edition to compare.

can someone know how to fix the BUG, fail to use VSYNC=ON, capped FPS ?

because, the nvidia reflex option oin this game has gone, but the nvidia reflex option its automatically ON, i can not disable it....

help me, plz....

also, when this game will have the latest update patch for fixing all the BUGS in this game ?

I would play it even moreso if the damn game would stop crashing inside of dungeons randomly on the latest 576.40 driver.

That would defeat the experience of a Bethesda game.

Never have i EVER played a game in my life with performance issue at this level..... So far i have 50 hours in Oblivion... crash to desktop is what it is.... But i am having an issue where it totally hard frezze my whole PC so i have to reset it on button. The weird part about is is i had these crashes frequently and tried a few fixes and then my game ran 10-15 hours without it happen... and know it starting again, crashing every 20 min or so.... i mean wtf is hapening???

Optimization is crap but the game hasn't crashed on me once (~51 hours of gametime). Reset bios to default, remove any OC or memory tuning on CPU and GPU and try again, it shouldn't be crashing

Well it certainly CTDs for me occasionally. It really depends a lot on what you do and the longer the save exists the more likely something is going to be problematic. But yes, its completely random.

Its the exact same behaviour as in the OG version, that is, the console OG version, without unofficial patch.

That being said, going to stock system frequencies is certainly a good troubleshooter. 60 FPS lock is another, yes, even despite devs saying you can run higher now.

For me sometimes when loading an area - well it just doesn't - it sits there on the loading screen for ever, I just close the game and launch again. But its something that has happened like 10 times in so many hours. Occasional CTD is ok - whatever, can happen, but crashing every 20 minutes (unless he is exaggerating) isn't really the games fault.

Well undervolting is actually the same as overclocking, you are pushing higher clocks for any given voltage. Remove your undervolt and try again

Increase your page file size, the game leaks memory. This will reduce the amount of crashes you get. Use FSR to reduce the internal resolution at around 1080p, if you're playing at 4K, use Performance or even Ultra Performance considered you have a 7900 XT

Yes, it's that bad, unfortunately

I set mine at 32 GB, but adding an extra 16 to 20 GB of addressing space through the page file should be enough

dont use FSR v3 with quality by FG.... because, sometimes, it will tendency to CTD more often than not using it.....

btw, finally, using 1 simple tiny mods from nexus, right now i can use console commands, free everytime, and still get steam achievment..... but, that 1 tiny mods, will cut 30-50% my average FPS in the game (from 70-140 fps into 30-75 fps)....

the weirdest think is, the game, today its become much more smooth/less stutter than before not use 1 tiny mods.... yup, with that average fps 30-75 fps (DLSS quality, LUMEN SOFTWARE high, all ULTRA).....

anyway, because i can freely using console commands, right now, i can disable the option of nvidia reflex (in my main menu has gone that option), using Vsync=ON (75 fps), capped fps to 120fps.....

tgm
additem
addspell
ghost/walk (tcl = is not working anymore)
change the race, gender, birthsign, anytime in the game
change stat char

.... etc....

one of the best of the best, RPG PC on this year.... !

Yet the command that is the most useful to fix bugged quests, setstage, is for some reason locked behind an Unreal Engine variable. Type Altar.Cheat.AllowSetStage true to fix it

A quick search told me how to fix it.

"Here's how to re-enable the setstage command:

Open the ini file: Locate the OblivionRemastered\\Content\\Dev\\ObvData directory.

Add a new line: Add the line Altar.Cheat.AllowSetStage=1 to the bottom of the [Altar] section.
Enable the command in-game: Open the console (~) and type Altar.Cheat.AllowSetStage true.
Now you can use the setstage command: For example, setstage MS08 90 to advance quest MS08 to stage 90."

Yeah, that works too. But the command I shared can be input directly into the game's console, it will work.
