1. not a mod...

2. wayyyyyy to much thermal paste on the core, and a metal knife to spread it?!?

3. congrats on taking up half of your expansion card slots :)

did you really spread the thermal paste with a butter knife?

MOD, this is just a video card MOD, My system is already on this board.
I just bought this and posted this since I have not seen this no the forums.
Just showing the installation and performance.
My case is here http://www.techpowerup.com/gallery/1088.html

no, this isn't a video card mod. all you did was swap the cooler, unless i'm missing something...

Thanks ;)
No its not cutting 14 holes in a case nor is it a hardcore mod.
But thanks for the sarcasm, not looking for anyones approval, just thought Id put it out here.
The knife works great!
Slots? I knew this before I got the card, I dont need them.
Anything else youd like to say to make yourself feel above the rest....?

dude, we're not trying to put you down, it's just that this isn't a mod. anybody with a half of a brain and two capable hands can change a video card cooler.

Thanks ;)

Naw, I'm good

I'm not disputing that its a great cooler, I just don't find it practical...

Next time your doing thermal paste try using the edge of a credit card. Should make things a little easier.

Chill out, don't you guys have anything better to do than diss some guy's video card cooler swap?

i'm NOT "dissing" him, he did a good job, i'm just pointing out the fact that the title is misleading. i thought maybe he vmodded it or something.
and no, i don't have anything better to do!

Im aware of this, I was just showcasing the card. Normally I wouldnt post unless it was a new box, but I figured be nice to do since I like the review from here.
Im laughing right now at the butter knife comment.

Yeh card cost me 600$, I see that now, I thought this was a more mature board.
As you can see I really don't care for the comments, but I have yet to see someone else do this is some other forums, all i can find is reviews, benchmarks and test on this cooler.
Also I have not trolled 50 other forums looking for it either.
I saw this reviewed by the staff here, and I like the review + some other sites and decided to buy it to extend the life of my card and run it cooler, not to OC the CORE to 800mhz.

So I thought Id show it in actual form working, and it works great and say thanks to this site for making me aware of the cooler for the 8800 Ultra series as I have yet to see many besides the new water cooled one and the black pearl, I really don't like the fact of water being near my 2000$ system, so I will stick with fans.

Water cooling is safer than you might think.

Fluid Xp Coolant is also non conductive so you could pour it on your parts while they were running and nothing would happen.

u got balls bro!

putting as5 on a 600$ card with a butter knife.

thnx for posting ur install and ACTUAL results.

@ aspire : FluidXp sUx. id rather run tap water through my loop.

watercooling is extremely safe IF done properly ;)

Well the butter knife thing is CLASSIC, and if we didn't post are work in forums,, right or wrong, we would not learn, It's a nice cooler on a nice card, That's the bottom line.

I voted 10/10 because:

Nice job, looks real nice. Thanks for showing me how its done.:)

I'm cheap so I just use distilled water with tubing that doesn't allow light in, but I have seen it save a guys computer before.
