What are you playing?

cp2077, hope there is enough time in the game to really explore all cyberware/skill options, not just focus on a couple of them. I tend to rely on stealth and quickhacks, but that will only carry you up to a certain point. had a really difficult time fighting the japanese bodyguard 1 vs 1 on hard. good thing I had an appropriate tech weapon, cause nothing else worked.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is always fun to step back into.

Rekindled a long lost love with Dungeons & Dragons Online. Currently leveling a Cleric. Still has a pretty active playerbase and SSG is pretty steady with content releases. Plus they just merged to 64-bit servers.

DOA4 @ Xbox 360

Still looks stunning even though it was a launch title...

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is always fun to step back into.

Coincidently, I am currently playing Yakuza 0.
While I admit that I like some aspects of that game, all the focus on this "hostess" business was pushing my cringe-o-meter to the red zone. Running into that "video" shop has me sincerely questioning why am I still playing it...

And all those bloody minigames!

Aren't the Yakuza games notorious for being minigames hubs?
First time I've ever played one.
And "minigames hub" is an understatement...

Caves of Qud. RNG blessed me with a disguise early on. It also helped to have photosynthetic skin.

I convinced the oddly-hued glowpad to join me and we're best buds now. I gave him a sweet tattoo.

By far the award for worst video or mini-game goes to a sub-story in Pirate Yakuza.
You should try K2 before you get soured on Yakuza. It puts fun and bad jokes way above the tough guy stuff. Hard to assess if the constant immorality it pokes at will remain upsetting.

This golf mini-game is pretty fun and gets challenging.

On holiday in the southern border of France in the Pyrenees and playing Vampire Survivors, Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country and Defense Grid on Steam Deck in the late hours. I love this handheld.. fantastic. 10 hours plus worth of SNES games on a single charge np.

definitely do check out Defense Grid :) Tower defense at its finest

Let's test GTA III "Defective" Edition on PS4 as it's on PS Plus. :P

That's one heck of a pair!

I played through the latter sort of recently, but it's been a while since I played the former. Maybe I should give both some time soon.
Super Mario World... wow. I played this as my first ever owned console game and replaying it now... what an amazing platformer. Simple moveset but the possibilities and skill cap just seem to be endless. Secrets everywhere you go. Also the cuteness factor of Yoshi is over 9000. Simply amazing. Donkey Kong is similar, but more basic.

Pickup Persona 5 Royal in Steam Sale, and I couldn't be more satisfied.
As a fan of Megami Tensei : Persona franchise, my first game was PS1 Eternal Punishment, and I still craving for it's unique gameplay and deep storytelling.

I didn't finished it since it's first inception in Playstation 3, but I'm glad i could played it years later with its upgraded "Royal". Persona 5 Royal with it's dungeon, just like Persona 3 ( before FES ) but not punishing, exiciting combat but not quite on par with Persona 2, story rich but not womanizer like Persona 4 Golden, so far Atlus succeed made decades long series feel fresh and exciting.

9/10, I'll put that below 11/10 Persona 4 Golden :D

I love P5R, but it has ONE crucial flaw against the vanilla P5: Take Over is a much worse song compared to Last Surprise, and it's one you'll probably hear the most through the whole game.

First timer in franchise? :D
Persona series known for a ton of secret and easter eggs, including that "battle theme", simply go to your main character and change outfit.
Currently, I'm using Yasogami High to relive memories, you can also choose Gekkoukan High if you want to go back further to Persona 3.

I actually know it, but just play it at default (beat vanilla for the PS3, Royal for the Switch). And to go back further to P3, I'm now playing P3RE hahahaha

For clarification, I don't hate Take Over. But it does tire me, Last Surprise never did.

Forza Horizon 5 gets a lot of stick, unjustly in my opinion. With the Rally and Hot Wheels DLCs it really comes into its own, especially Rally, which is great fun.
I was hoping that FH6 would be set in the USA but it seems it will be in Germany, maybe.
Anyway, I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

I spontaneously started Resident Evil 3 (1999) yesterday.

It's been a while since I played the original, so despite it being unplanned, I'll finish this one. Since I haven't played in so long, I'm doing a "full clear" where I go slow and methodically and try and clear as much of the enemies as I can, as opposed to rushing and running. I'm using this run to experience the game and memorize the paths, and then I'll do a subsequent run after this one where I try and complete it faster. There's costumes for completing the game with certain criteria.

Alright, kids have placed a strict "no playing Jedi Survivor without us around to watch the story" fatwa on me and they're going to be out of town for a week and a half with their grandparents so... what is a guy to do.

I installed Star Wars Squadrons and Mass Effect Legendary Edition that I got as a freebees on EA App god knows when.

Never played Squadrons before but it seems to be reasonably decent space sim that handles pretty well with an Xbox controller. My understanding is the actual campaign/story is very short and pretty simple, and I have no interest in the multiplayer so It might be a nice game to experience as a pallet cleanser.

Mass Effect LE is interesting because I've beaten all the Mass Effect games multiple times at this point but I've never played any of the DLC outside of whatever was included with ME and ME2 Cerberus Network. I'm looking to download some mods that would max out my Paragon/Renegade points and maybe max out my levels so I can just play the game in "story" mode to get to the DLC content in ME2 and 3 more quickly.

I've also installed Dawn of War 2 Retribution (which I got for free when my DOW2 on Steam got upgraded to the Anniversary Edition) which might be a fun game to try out, but RTS games are less and less my jam nowadays as they can be huge time sinks and I'm looking for punchier 30 minutes - 1 hour in and our type experiences.

New Magic the Gathering expansion launches tomorrow, Edge of Eternities. Sci-Fi themed, which is the first for this series (I think). First for me anyway. Final Fantasy expansion was fantastic... really looking forward to this sci-fi thematic though. I have four draft tokens to use up, so 4 drafts... then any winnings from those I will be using for sealed deck tournaments.
