[Case Gallery] MODDED MSI 8800 ULTRA OC HR-03 Plus

One thing, I would mount the cooler's fins on the topside of the card, you will get MUCH more performance out of it; heat rises.

why use a 92mm fan on that... put on a 120mm on that bad boy, it will drop temps a couple more degrees. and the hr-11 works well with it as well....

You give me more Ideas, Only thing I dont Like about this is my freaking side case fan for my case will not fit anymore because of the heatpipes bending buldging out.
This is the 120MM fan I have, if I can get this thing on Without some damn wire ties, I might just try it. This Fan Kills the tornado, it is really really really loud.
Also need a 5.25" 120mm fan kit to exhaust the heat out the back, really dont wanan drill a 120mm hole on my Lian Li case

Glad I saw this I was going to get the hr-03 gt for mine but that thing takes up to much space.
Thermaltake orb duo perhaps

I'm cheap so I just use distilled water with tubing that doesn't allow light in, but I have seen it save a guys computer before.

straight distilled water is best ;) only in same metal loops though ie: all copper

i run a mix of distilled/glycol N/P for last 2+ yrs without servicing (will be servicing soon though as im redoing the loop)

FluidXp DOES become CONDUCTIVE over time (few months) in your loop so be carefull (it is proven)

Which water cooling is the safest and best say just for my video card and proc?
Something I can fit in a 5.25 bay
I had some thermaltake garbage 5.25 but I didnt see a big enough performance to justify 150$.
I want something that wont kill my board it it leaks or spills and I really dont wanna be changing the water every few weeks

take a look at the kit offerings at www.petrastechshop.com

They also have a very nice nickel plated 8800 series block.

As long as you invest a fair amount into the water cooling and aren't drunk or high when you assemble it you shouldn't have any problems.

The best way to have a maintenance free loop is to simply use straight distilled water as coolant and use tubing that doesn't allow light to permeate.

If you look at my rig you'll understand exactly what I mean.

Well if im gonna spend say 600$ on just the cooling, not sure any of that would work with my case.
If its gonna be 600$ or say 500$ I might as well jsut stick with my fans, whats the advantage of say there stuff vs normal bs that ranges from 100-300$?

You wouldn't need to spend 600 bucks for cooling...

The 8800 water block is about 115
The D-Tek Fuzion Cpu block is about 60
The Laing D5 pump runs about 80
A dual 120mm radiator runs about 50-60
And tubing, fittings, clamps, and coolant will run you about 40

So, you can put together a great loop for about 350 bucks.

I voted 9/10 because:

I've never seen upclose of what a 8800 Ultra with HR-03 Plus installed. It's really kick-ass looking.

For people that says it's not a mod or anything, be it. I think it's a good thing he posted up here, at least someone finds it useful.

Thats what my goal was, If I never saw the review from this site and the ratings which lead me to more research, I would not have bought this.

I voted 1/10 because:

its about the case, not a stupid naked video card hehe, i gave u a one dude

I'd give ya a 10/10 just for your avatar....

Maybe I'll just go ahead and do that...

MF'ers...Its not a case MOD gallery, its a case gallery.

And there are plenty of people posting empty boxes, crappy skt 754 systems, etc. I bet he's jealous ONE component in your system costs as much as his whole box (minus the 3850)

I voted 10/10

Cuz the butter knife is the main picture!! LOL
