A Data 667 OCed to 1000

I have 4 gigs of this 667 A Data ram Oced at running stable at 1000,I ran orthos on it overnight with no problems and with an extra 120mm fan rigged up to blow on them they are cool to the touch.The NE reviews said it was easily Oced to 800,well see how it does at 1000,this may very well be a low budget OC ram that people have been overlooking!

I've been trying for some time now to tell people on this site that A-Data makes good oceable ram nowadays but nobody listens. Because of other members posts they end up buying Corsair ram that costs twice as much and doesn't overclock as good. Eh, what can you do?

So far this shiz is running great,need some time on it for an honest review but its stable,cool and FAST,no voltage mod at all,im running a 300 FSB.Going to attempt the BSEL mod if i can EVER find the paint or pen needed to do it and see what I can get then.

What are you timings at? If you left them to auto, your motherboard might have loosened them to keep the RAM stable.

Thats the Crucial that Sovereign gave to me in that contest a while back...my 667 boots to 1200 but will run 1150 stable!

Also @ Nonya....let these guys know all the facts before they convince you to fizzle the ram , or the CPU !

Probably excessive voltage from his auto voltage setting.
on topic.... that's a very nice OC on the RAM. I've never seen anything do that well. You need to check what voltage they are though, you don't want your motherboard's auto settings cooking them at 2.4 volts or something.

My crucial value ram series 2x1gb DDR2 533 runs DDR620 with 4-4-4-12-1T timings on 1.9v. wasn't bootable on a 333mhz divider though.... I need to play with it more

his ram is 1:1 at stock voltage, with a 120 mm fan blowing on them to keep them cool as they do run hot. they are stable, and at cas5. as sneeky said, we're looking into his cpu heat troubles as the temps are too high.

I got 100mhz overclock with stock settings 5-5-5-15 1.8V @900mhz on A-DATA vitesta :toast:

havent really played with em more to see how far can these go.
