Publisher Electronic Arts and magazine PC Gamer have pulled back the iron curtain, revealing the existence of Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3. The game marks the first entry in the spin-off RTS series since the Yuri's Revenge Red Alert 2 expansion pack in 2001. That's just about everything in the way of details. Judging from the cover of the PC Magazine, it's obvious that the game is headed to PCs, but details if it will make console fans happy too are unknown. More info on Red Alert 3 are expected when the issue hits stores March 4.

Iron Curtain Activated!

-Is it done, Yuri?
-No, Comrade Premier. It has only begun.

I can't wait!

Fracking YES!! I cant wait to make tesla coils and nukes again!

It's funny... i always loved the Red alert series (and Generals) but was always a bit 'meh' on the the straight up C&C games. so i'm delighted to hear that this is on the way!:rockout:

Same here I cant wait!:toast:

you know whats kinda bad? it's probably going to be in 3D and they better have a REALLY good engine, otherwise it will just not worth it

They have to keep the old atmosphere alive IMO. I don't want to play Generals or Tiberium Wars again!

well, that is what i was trying to say. coming from isometric to 3d will definitely feel different

As a Command and conquer fan i always preferred the original and Tiberium storyline and games
but this is welcome news as id take any decent game right now, sure it was just command and conquer with different units and cutscenes anyway.

Should be exciting. 3D has a different feel from the original 2D, but if the gameplay, controls, storyline is the same, then it's worth it.

Dam, Dam, Dam that is what the big secret must be for the next pc gamer, I thought it was going to be a world exclusive on BF3!!!!! When they said it was going to be part of a series and had bears in it, I thought that BF3 would have the Ruskies in it!!!!!!!!!
sooooo sad now "(

HOLY GOD!!! Time for another C&C:RA, don't mess this one up EA! :rockout::rockout::respect::respect:

it will most likly use the Generals/BFME/BFME2/CNC3 engine agian, and besides CNC3 looks great. Im more anticipated with Wrath of Kane to be honest, RA2 sucked major balls without Kane in it, and you would understand why if you played Red Alert, they where supposed to tie into Tiberian Dawn.

I loved RA and RA2... I really hope they carry the torch with the overly sexy.. err.. I mean "Helpful" female cut scene characters. ;)

How many of you guys hope that EA hires Frank Klepacki to write the music? He did a really good job on the games while working at Westwood.

I love Tiberian Dawn, Tiberian Sun and Tiberium Wars

i do miss my tesla coils... i can't wait for this one.

Red Alert was the game that got me into RTS. Never played RA2 though, worth a shot in the mouth? I'll have to look out my old RA discs and give it a bash. I expect it'd look pretty awesome *cough* on my LCD.

\m/

and here is a website for RA3, applying for beta test ... :D

EDIT: "Once you receive your copy of Command & Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath, look for the Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 Beta Key Insert and visit the designated website." :\
