Yeah its an awesome game. Very heavily underrated its not funny... My main car I use is the FD3S RX7, Full lvl 4, for grip, while an R34 Skyline for Speedmode (best car imho), and i got lucky, and was able to get a zonda through free car markers :D

totally agree!
the game is very underrated!
yea im using lev4 gtr35 for grip- its freaking awesome grip car!
lev4 supra for drag, 65 gto or charger for wheelie comp
lev4 silvia for drift or rx8
and lev4 lambo for speedraces
but yea i got the zonda with with that free car marker as well, i was lucky enough to actually get 2 of them! it makes one hell of a drag car, does the 1/4 in high 6's without nos

Hmm. IMO I love all the NFS's but I havta say out of all of them I still say Most Wanted is the best. I have Prostreet, but the gameplay is kinda more arcade style, I like freeroam in games. But thats just me. :) I haven't played much of Carbon, but it loooks like a gr8 game as well!

most wanted was def my fav!
and yea it really sucks that they dont have free roam in this game because that was always my fav thing to do!
but then again if u think about it would be kinda pointless to have in prostreet, ha theres nowhere to roam...
Carbon was also a great game

Played it and returned it. I really did NOT like it at all. Heavily disappointed.

Car's didn't feel right when driving, no free roam, stupid commentators, tried to be something it's not (arcade game with driving lines WTF?), graphics were overly heavy on your PC when they're not even that good.

As far as I'm concerned the game is a shambles that's (once AGAIN) been rushed out too soon. Another 2 or 3 months in development and it could have been something fantastic.

Shame EA ruins yet another game.

the physics on this game where designed to be more lifelike and i feel they were.
as for the graphics i thought they were awesome at 1680x1050 and all settings on high the graphics look really good!
my sys had no prob running this game, ea took a different approach with this game when it came to actual game play, and i do have to agree i really miss the free roam, and yes i do feel they rushed it, there are some minor glitches that could have been fixed with a little more testing

Well, if car's "jump" when they turn then I don't think I ever want to drive -_-

Well if you turned left, instead of smoothly turning like a car should, it "jumped" left.

well it was this same system but with an X1950XT instead, if it was lag then I stand by what I said before. Overly heavy on your system for graphics that aren't that good.

I mean I could play Crysis at mostly high at 1280 on that system, and yet NFS Pro Street had difficulties? I think that's a major bug.

it could be, but that goes back to the whole thing about ea needing to spend a little more time working all the kinks out of their games, i think i read on the pro street website that there will be a patch to fix all bugs and whatnot, and they admit to rushing the game.

They really should have kept this game in development. While its good, I have to agree it DOES feel very rushed in a sense that the game was somewhat buggy. It was a good concept, however there was a LOT that killed the game.

Problems with the game:
-Damage system wasnt as great as it turned out..... EA said it was supposed to be very detailed-from the preview vid I thought I'd see a side smash take the engine out in a very spectacular manner with parts flying everywhere. A lot of people were dissapointed in this.
-Suspension of the E46... EA ruined this car. They didnt fix it in v1.1
-V1.2 patch's 30FPS frame limit is something that defies logic
-V1.2's new shuto expressway course is underwhelmingly short. Why didnt they ask namco or something for the REAL thing?
-Cars seem not able to actually spin out
-Cars are too grippy and unstable at the same time.
-No rain racing, WTF?
-No nightime racing
-Too many ads in the wrong places, put them in the loading menus dammit! Not in game!
-Places looked too BS... too many floating objects

I would have wanted pro street to be more like GT4, with MORE cars than what was in the game. I mean EA should learn from polyphony, they have less staff and put way more time into making games, the end result something that is very well thought out and made.

It would even be better if EA didnt name this NFS, but just "Pro Street" or something. A LOT of people dumbly and blindly complain "where are the cops" "where is free roam?" etc.

Anyway, my X1950PRO had no problems running PS at max... and this was when i was testing my client's 22 inch monitor.

I love the game, for my rig it's one of the newest that I can max out @ 1440x900 on rig 1 in my specs and still get reasonable average 40-45fps.

Well, if car's "jump" when they turn then I don't think I ever want to drive -_-

The bit of advice i can give you is don't be a race car driver. What it sounds like is a badly tuned vehicle on your part. If you don't have proper down force when you go over a small bump at high speed it'll give you a little 'hop'.... however if you're going extremely quickly it will cause the wind to catch under the car and will fling you into the air after a couple of bounces. Also if you're going around a corner while this is happening it could also have something to do with the stiffness of your suspension.

Although its hard to notice sometimes you're actually moving at very high speeds in that game a lot of the time so the forces are pretty extreme and may cause strange behaviour you wouldn't experience at low speeds. It also sounds like you don't have your license yet so you don't know what a real car feels like anyway :p (and yes from someone whose driven some fast cars, that jumping happens at high speeds with real vehicles under certain conditions.... of course i've never experienced it at 300km/h before lol)

this is very true, well tuned cars make all the difference in this game!

i really wanted to like this game, i really liked the idea and the damage and stuff (except those f'ing announcers wtf), but i just couldnt get over the handling... i dont know why, but on all the cars ive driven in the game (including highly tuned ones), the handling feels really sluggish, almost like there's an input lag on the keyboard... its sooo annoying, i cant play more than a few races, i just get so pissd off with it! ive played all the other new nfs games (underground-carbon), these all were fine, they all had quick responsive turning it was great. maybe it's trying to be realistic but this really isnt realistic, in real life when you turn the steering wheel the car turns right away... and yes it happens at low speeds as well... after the initial lag it turns fine... also i tried turning down all the settings for a higher fps, that didnt really help...
anyone else had this problem?
