To view this case mod, go here.

Specs:
Intel E6420 @3.2
Abit IP35-E
4x1GB DDR800 G.Skill/Crucial
XFX 8800GT
WD 500GB SE16 AAKS
Corsair HX520
LG DVD-RW (SATA)

Mods:
Painted interior and back I/O panel semi-flat black, stealthed the front bezel gunmetal grey (of sorts), suspended hard drive mod to reduce vibration, added scythe ninja to cpu, accelero S1 to 8800GT and kama bay to improve cooling, cut several holes in mobo tray to do some massive wire management, added two strips of white led's to illuminate the work. -- Replaced the original window with a new, less old and scratched one, but thats more of a maintenance thing than a mod.

Still a super silent rig, runs fast as ever, stable as can be. The only future changes I could imagine for now is the migration to a 45nm quad unless I wait for nahelem for a total overhaul, and upping the ram since prices are rock bottom.

Not bad m8. I would try and neaten up that hdd holder you have made a little. Make it even and maybe throw some black paint on the shiny bits of he hdd. You should also cover the power/front usb cables with something lack as it really pops out in an otherwise neat case...

7 from me bro

Ya, the hard drive suspension isn't the prettiest thing, but it really does kill any vibration in the case caused by the HDD. I've been trying to think of a way to spruce it up without making it too complicated, but can't really come up with too much. And the front panel/usb plugs should probably be sleeved or something, but they're of sight when the case is actually closed so I tend to just neglect them.

Thanks for the vote!

Nice work diablo! My only gripe is the hd holder, it's a little crooked, but easily fixable, and it's a great idea, in my case (sagitta) the hard drive cage blocks the incoming air, maybe i will copy your idea :)

Ya, it is a little lop-sided, oh well, does its job heh. Takes too much time to balance it perfectly.

8/10 from me. personally i like to pc's with good cable management, and you did a pretty good job on it. i would try to hide those front panel wires on the bottom. you could wrap them in black electrical tape, or get some sort of wire sleeve. perhaps one of those plastic ones that have the slit in the middle so you can just press the wires in. i dunno something to that affect.

Everyone here is missing the point.

This PC is meant to be silent :D

U from SPCR? 9/10, a very desirable setup to have, ample power and cool and silent. Nice job.

I lurk.

And thanks for noticing the true nature of the rig. =]

Man, I love that moon light effect inside the case.

People love copying each other... haha. But this guy when he means silent he is being genuine about it. The hardware is what a silent PC enthusiast would use. However... are you using CM fans? Those are pretty loud even though they are low RPM fans... I'm a hippocrite though for also using sleeve bearing fans! (Check my case mod, under).

On a side note TPU is being very cruel with voting.... oh well. I guess its trendy to vote low now (ignoring that trend)

So yeah rate my one! http://www.techpowerup.com/gallery/1426.html and do you think my PC would be silent? Btw guys im on my backup PC atm, and not the SOLO. The SOLO is at my flats, I'm at my apartment using the backup.

Well my fans are sleeve, but they are all Scythe Slipstreams (er Kaze Jyu-ni), so they're relatively silent, all you really hear is the turbulence of the air hitting the metal grilles.

Very nice work. You have my kind of taste. Functional and clean looking mods. I gave ya 9/10, I really like the the look of your case.

Very nice! Sleek and nice cable management. 9/10 from me.
