To view this case mod, go here.

Specs:
AMD Phenom 9600
MSI K9A2 790FX Platinum Motherboard - 1.1B3 Bios
Scythe Katana II Heatsink
Sapphire HD3870 512MB
MSI HD3870 512MB
G.Skill 4x1GB DDRII PC2-6400
Samsung DVD +/- RW SATA
Seagate 320GB SATA 7200.11K RPM HD
Western Digital Raptor 74GB SATA 10K RPM HD
Antec 120mm RED LED 3 Speed Fan - Rear Exhaust
HEC 90mm Fan - Front Intake
HEC Black Steel Case
Acer AL2016W 20" LCD
Thermaltake 600W Modular PSU

Used a Dremel to cut holes to hide the cables better. Added some foam on the bottom inside of the case. Other than that, nothing too special. Just a clean case with goodies. I think I did the best I could with the cable management. The case is very limited.

I figured I'd setup a new case mod page since my old one is out of date. I've changed quite a few things since the first setup. Better cable management, Raptor drive, fans, misc. other tid bits.

very nice.... clean as well those 3870's are rocking

Very nice setup... Love the red....

Very clean cable management...

How do you like that MSI MB? Picking one up myself to mess with..

Working on a Rocketfish case mod now myself....

Thanks guys.

I like the motherboard actually. Has never given me any issues. Solid board if you ask me.

Very nice man...Tell me something...Does the first vid card really touch that heat pipe? I keep reading reviews on that mobo and that seems to be a repetitive complaint.

How did you managed to secure that hd? I tried to put them in the reverse way like you did too, but mine keeps "loosing balance" (sorry cant describe better in english). Would appreciate if you could tell me. BTW, 8/10, I like your rig, nice and clean

Thanks for the feedback guys, much appreciated.

There is very little clearance but its just enough. Fits fine with my 3870's. I'm not sure about other cards though.

I used a standard hard drive screw. Just one on each side. The drive bay is so tight it scratched my drives as I installed them. Aside from the screw, its a tight fit anyway. I used just one screw on each side.

I voted 10/10 because:

Nice rig

Great cable management, good specs and looks nice with the red LED's too

I'm going all AMD for the next build (completion sometime in Nov or Dec of this year) In looking at the MSI mobo is it true that if you go with a 9850 phenom you have to have a different CPU in order to boot just to get the bios update to run the 9850?

...no comments just love it...

very nice rig, 10/10. Red leds looks great.

Very nice.....

I see your not using the PCI-E power plug next to the north bridge.

Have you noticed any stability issues from your video cards?

How do you like the MB?

Thanks Bytor. No stability issues at all and I like the motherboard. It will hopefully last me a while although the features of the SB700 chipset are making me think otherwise. :P

Anyone have any suggestions for remounting my hard drives in a neater way?
