Nintendo Revolution gets a name - Wii

Yes you read right, the next generation console from Nintendo will be called "Wii", which sounds like the word we. That in turn means that this is the console for everyone. I personally liked Revolution much better.

I concur, Revolution was sweet. Wii sounds like something puny or weak. Argh, atleast it will be sweet. Then again Longhorn sounded better than Vista, but that's an os, not a gaming console.

I agree. The time for Nintendo has come and gone. Now it is the xbox. No one wants a stupid system with the only game worth buying for it is RE4!

A lot of people like super smash bros, not me personally. I think I am going to sell my cube and get a slim PS2.

they made worst desisions then a bad name (remember virtual boy). plus have you heard about red steel. pretty sweet game on the "wii" that'll easly make up for the name.

Oh wait...that isn't the Wii controller, it is from a 20 year old game console...I get them confused sometimes.

Oh, and you have to wonder how good the games are going to be when Nintendo cares more about the color of the controller then they do about actual games.

The name is just one bad decision in a long line of bad decisions that will lead to this being Nintendo's last console.

I must say they did make one good decision.
They have kept the Zelda franchise all to themselves.
Things like that will keep them alive for there are many Zelda fans.

I don't like the name Wii either, but I'm willing to give it the benefit of a doubt and see what happens when it comes out. I don't think Nintendo will go bankrupt, even if they have to pull out of the console market they still dominate the handheld market. Nintendo's profits are the highest this year, since 2001.
