Microsoft to Unveil DirectX 11 Later this Month

Guys we can't say dx10 is useless it's big improvement in performance, but I think me and most of guys are sick of microsoft didn't release dx10 for xp and I'm sure this point many agrees as they want most of us to change to vista.

What I hear from different sources game developers are still new to program with dx10 and I don't think a game released tell now utilize dx10 to it's max cause if it's utilized to max I don't think their is such system in world at the time I write this can run a game more than 8-10 frames per second.

and Game developers are not stupid to release a game that could be run on 5 % of the systems out their, for that with small portion I believe that most consul games ps3, xbox 360 games looks better on them cause developers are utilizing the hardware to max, but on PC developers are targeting most audience with different type of systems out their.

Whatever I don't think DX10 nor DX11 will be welcomed to most games developers for the next at lest 4-5 coming years.

at the time some dx9 games still cannot be runed at max settings with many gamers out their keeping in mind different people budgets and income, even though a Father won't pay 5000 US $ on a PC for a 9-15 years old kid.

DX10 didn't really do anything amazing. Hopefully DX11 will bring some new stuff to the table.

unfortuantly man, im thinking that it might not be much of a step up either.. seeing the limited amount of time that was between 10.1 and 11... i dont think they could've crammed anything too amazing into it..

yea, and look out for all those promo pictures and of dx11. when dx10 came out we saw all these amazing looking pictures and then we played crysis and were not impressed.

The developpers of Assasins Creed clearly showed us that DirectX 10 is in fact better then DirectX 9 when used properly. The DirectX 10.1 version clearly runs a lot better then the DirectX 9 version. They could have added a lot more stuff to make the game more beatifull in DirectX 10.

Bioshock, World in Conflict, Lord of the rings online, all those DirectX 10 games could have looked more beatifull in DirectX 10 without any performance loss. Microsoft can't help it that some developpers are bad at coding stuff...

i know. im not putting the blame on anyone. im just saying that the product never lives up to the hype.

I just read an article about dx history in wikipedia today. facing the problem of dx 10 to be released for XP is not going to happen at any time,

same what happened when Microsoft stopped at dx8 for windows 95, and they give it for windows 98 later on all gamers forced to upgrade to windows 98 followed by 2000/xp to get support for dx9. It's exactly 5-6 years life spin at max

it's all about marketing and wealth strategy, as I believe from history and Microsoft marketing strategy dx11 will be last for Vista then all will be forced upgrading from vista "windows 6" at approxmitly 2013 at the time we all going to upgrade to windows 8" for dx12 support.

directx will be done eventually and something new will be created by microsoft

i like open GL but hardly any games support it
