What the heck thats frecen weird

well..the only problem I have with these systems, is the huge size...dell has the resources to engineer something portable for once...I mean a SFF PC...not something foldable or a laptop.

cheers

That is very ugly.

i HATE my dads xps, they cant even give you a decent mouse and pad... dell:laugh:

the thing is giant and it doesnt even have that grand of cooling... and if it was for a "gamer enthusiast" than they would have unlocked the bois... its POS

I agree its ugly, looks like some ugly old banged up ship from the first few starwars movies.

now that you mention it, it looks like one of those big vehicles were the scavangerhunters capture R2-D2 and 3CPO and then sell them to the Skywalkers

*G*

lol it does! Wow those things are terribly designed. Man, dell should take some pointers from alienware, it would atleast help them out a tiny bit more.

i own a dell now there mobos are trash so i dont see why they push there xps line if your gona drop that kinda cash i want to be able to fry my computer if i see fit to

Actually, I've changed my mind it looks like a PC Size space heater . . . thats overheating? Dells engineers should be shot for the look of this case, regardless of dell being one of the most hated PC building companies in the industry. Just because they make crappy PC's dosen't mean they should make crappy cases too.

Dell XPS reminds me of those kids who get all those body kits and external modifacations for their car when they haven't touched the engine and its still running 100 HP with a automatic transmission. So does this make Dell the poser high end PC company?

It's got the whole "trying to be a G5" thing going on, looks ok to me - maybe a little slanted? ;)

Looks like they had to turn the entire front of the case into a giant vent to cool down the spaceheater that is the P4 EE 3.73 ghz.

I dont see how they can call it the best hardware for gaming if it has an Intel. Maybe when Conroe comes out, but as we all know Prescott's get smacked around by any AMD64 chip.

Dell has a big contract with intel and will only buy their processors, but that may not be a bad thing considering the good stuff intell has coming.

As for this case, anyone buying an xps (no offence to anyone here), probably dosent have the skills or expertise to build one for thier own. at least when you build your own pc, you can use the bios and it is much more upgradable and reliable.

my point being that this case is too confusing for the average pc user. i cant even see the power button on this thing. Customer support at dell is gonna be very busy

yeah, i built my rig for almost half the price as my dads xps, and it outperforms it 10 fold imo

i don't know why... but if the XPS wasn't shiny and silver/red, I could imagine it being a server.

I'll agree with that, because a lot of non rack mount servers usually are mostly vents in the front, that defenitely doesn't make it look good though. You could probably afford a low end phase change system and buy parts to make a quieter, faster, and cooler running PC than that XPS for the same price. Also, where the hell is the disc drive?

Dell's losing it... but they never had it in the first place.

WTF? Red with that pattern looks weird... Dell, if a gamer wants a good case, he will buy it himself.

Personally I kind of like the case. I don't like the DELL part or probably what's inside, but the case is slightly interesting. I'll agree it kind of looks like a server case, but I like server cases. My case is kind of server like. I like it better than the massive Alienware cases with their cheap plastic bulging crap. Of course, I would never buy either brand; they both seem rather dum to me.

Ugly and expensive. I'd never buy one.
