NVIDIA regulates its partners from coming up with non-reference cooler or PCB designs for certain high-end products. It seems like NVIDIA has either lifted the regulation over GeForce 9800 GTX(+) or has given Palit the exception of coming up with a non-reference design for the GeForce 9800 GTX+. Palit showcased a card sporting a red PCB with a component arrangement dissimilar to that of the NVIDIA PCB, at the ongoing NVISION event. Quick snaps of this card were taken at the Palit booth. Additionally, Palit also showed-off a GeForce GTX 280 card with a factory-fitted Tieton water block made by Danger Den.

I knew it was a 9800GTX+ . OMG I am so happy, Palit finally came out with a non-reference for that card .

Red board and a Green chip @_0
That first picture seems like a really small board for a 9800 GTX+

Now I've seen everything, a green card on a red pcb :rockout: That 280 just looks medieval.

Green on red. Just in time for you to do your Christmas themed rig!

Love me some Palit cards.........

It's good to see the water block on the card as well.

Also, i wonder when Palit_Guy is going to send W1z a review sample of this :D

Besides the funky color scheme... Good job Palit!

The color scheme is so original I might buy one for that reason...... the waterblock card..... let me know when somebody is selling it. ;)

wow.. Palit now sure is a long way in manufacturing video cards ^^. Really love this brand. Go go Palit!

question, why? They have GTX260/280, R4870/50 and X2, just Non Ref those and Leave the 9800GTX+ in the past.

Competitive price point, thats why. :)

Why is everyone flipping out cause the PCB is red? I've seen plenty of Nvidia cards with red PCBs.

High end NV cards are prevented by coming up in non-reference designs. Ever seen a non ref 8800 GTX / GTS (G80) or Ultra PCB? Ever seen a 9800 GTX before Palit's that doesn't look like this in some way or the other?:
