I just possibly damaged my ears, the headphone amplifier of my 645 G1 and my RH-200s twice... First time I followed the Arch wiki which incorrectly uses "5%+" (as in add 5% to the volume, which is how the amixer program used with pulseaudio works) as an argument.

What this ACTUALLY does (verified the exact volume with wpctl get-volume but when your headphones turn into speakers that says enough, really) is set the volume to 5.00, or, in other words, 500% (where 20-32% is a reasonable volume).
