SteelSeries' newest rodent, dubbed Sensei, gets put to the test. The Sensei mouse features a few new tricks due to the implementation of an ARM CPU. The addition of a CPU makes the mouse capable of running all acceleration and smoothing corrections onboard and even allows for interpolation up to 11400 DPI.

Very nice review, thanks. I am looking for a Left Handed Mouse, and this may be the one for me. This should also match my SteelSeries 5Hv2 8-CH gaming headset.

Just want to confirm this will do for Left Handed?

SuperXP it is totally symmetrical and therefore equally good for both left and right handed people!

Cheers,
Fred

And which sensor has 5700 DPi?

Well, thats that "issue" cause there isnt one.

Avago 9500, widely used and its like 99% probability one in Sensei (aswell as in Xai), has native 5040 DPi (or CPi as SteelSeries likes it). Phillips Twin-eye has 5600 DPi. Mostly used in Razer mices and some special things, like R.A.T. mouse.

So most likely, this mouse has as Xai, just native around 5000 DPi.. everything else is just interpolation. Unless one believes SteelSeries to tell the truth. :D

Its similar to truth from Logitech and their G9x or G500 to have 5700 DPi from 5040 DPi sensor..

bought this mouse when it came out, probably the best mouse Ive used, coming from a deathadder a razer mamba this one felt more comfortable and less forced on my palm( forced as in how the deathadder curves your palm up feels forced to me) really comfy mouse

Just picked this mouse up yesterday on sale. It's superb. Seems as if they fixed the Steelseries Engine software with it as well. Granted I don't leave it running but I use it to configure the onboard profiles. Very happy with it so far. :)
