You did this????-

Insert the Windows XP CD into the CD drive or DVD drive.
2. Click Start, and then click Run.
3. In the Open box, type cmd, and then click OK.
4. At the command prompt, type the following commands, pressing ENTER after each command:

expand CD-ROM Drive Letter:\i386\config.nt_ c:\windows\system32\config.nt
expand CD-ROM Drive Letter:\i386\autoexec.nt_ c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt
expand CD-ROM Drive Letter:\i386\command.co_ c:\windows\system32\command.com
exit

This has fixed every occurance of this error for every comp I have seen with the error. Make sure yiur rpelace the "CD-ROM Drive Letter" with the letter of your cd-rom. If you did do that I dont know what to do.

Have you tried steps 6-17 on that support page? Remember google is your friend.

Im cursed... Now im getting the errors again. :( :(

I have the same error. C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM 32\AUTO EXEC.NT. I also have windows XP but my computer did not come with an XP disk. It is all preloaded. I did buy a Sony Recovery DVD but Microsoft's fix will not work with it. My system is a 160 gb hard drive, 3.0 mhz speed, 512 mb ram.
