6Pin PCIe, fails at Holdup...
If there is not Silverstone written on, i thing this can be 30$ NT from Discounter.

at hold-up so far most units failed. At least this failed by a small margin only (because there is fail, mega fail and epic fail with the last with hold-up time below 10 ms). As for the 6pin PCIe personally I don't think that it is its major flaw.

Something is not right here?!

OK so I bought this PSU and having problems. I noticed the fan will not spin automatically at all and when the PSU is placed under load it will overheat and shutdown and restart once cooled. If you manually start the fan but spinning it slightly with your finger it will spin and keep cool under load but will stay even when no load is applied.

Is this a faulty model or is it just a design flaw with the said "fan speed profile"

Any ideas? Should I send it back and get something else or try the same unit again?

Any help would be appreciated.

The fan doesn't appreciate being undervolted as much as it seems to be. I'd RMA the unit, possibly asking for advance RMA service, so as not to be left without a PSU while waiting on a replacement. You most definitely should not be required to manually start the PSUs fan, you got a malfunctioning unit - that's for sure.

Thanks guys. That's what I was thinking. I will send it back hopefully they will send me the replacement in advance. Which I hope does not have the same problem.

I think the bearings are jammed at some positions as if the fan rest at certain positions
on a shutdown it is unable to get the fan going again unless nudged with my finger. Just my luck I guess.
