1Ghz GPU mark reached with NVIDIA hardware as well

The guys at VR-Zone have overclocked a 7900GTX from the standard 650Mhz to an incredible 1Ghz on the core and 990Mhz on the memory. The result is 8786 3Dmark 06 points with a single card, and an overclocked FX-60. The 10000 point mark will be broken soon if this continues - with a single card that is.

Thanx for djbbenn, for pointing out that ATI did it first, I did not even know.

hell thats even better then my '03 score....(kicks computer, then it freezes....damn it all...)

are you serious? your cards clocked pretty high higher than mine
 
yeah.. kinda funny as i have scores from a 9600pro 256 with a 512mb ram and i got 2k. now with a 9600xt 128 and a gig of ram i get around 1600. what gives...
