Hello ( Sticking heat sinks to graphic card RAMs )
What is a good 2-sided sticky tape ( thermal conductivity around=6.0 W/mK ) pad brand to buy ?
- Those Arctic's ones are probably not 2-sided tapes and do not stick for the purpose.
- DealExtreme.com sells only 1 W/mK ones.

Arctic themal pad 145x145mm. Thickness=0.5mm:
( Not sticky ones )

Note: I'm planning to use pads not those permanent thermal glues or such.

I ordered "made in Japan" Sekisui 5760 2-side tape thermal pad from China ebay for 3usd$ 100x200mm sheet.
-> Any idea is it good ? Opinions ? I'm pretty sure it is not made in Japan but in China. So Japan is only "producer" not manufacturer.

Very silent topic everywhere on internet regarding heat sink attaching to rams ? Why it isn't popular ?

Personally i keep away from any thing that is not screw based, which is why i think Arctic cooling coolers are trash these days, how ever their pads are not to bad. Always a risk with pads and the heat sinks falling off.

Last time i used a Arctic cooler was with my 290X and did not use their cheap ass heatsinks due to warranty reason's and possible other issue's and kept the default plate on the card and thanks to the @XFXSupport supplied me with a spare part to make a custom plate so it would all fit.

Problem with the tapes is the thermal pads you just removed can leave oily residues, they will make the ram surface slippery like teflon to the tapes, sticking is the last thing they do.

If I needed a permanent but removable solution, I used to mix Arctic Silver 5 Compound with Arctic Silver Epoxy, it would hold ram sinks but with medium force by the hand I could tilt or twist the sinks off.

Well i guess you can and all so mix more of a 75\25 mix, then there is all the hassle of removing the paste if you ever need too.
