i bought this cooler ZEROTHERM NIRVANA 120mm .

First time it had the fan touching the fins on one side. so i rma'd it.

Second time i ordered , it had a retention bracket missing. so the cooler is basically useless.

SO now i have to rma it again.
Seriously do these ZEROTHERM guy's check what they are packing ? :banghead:

all the while q9450 is sitting there doing nothing . only bright light in this time has been the newegg customer service which offered me overnight shipping on both the orders i placed afterwards.

hopefully this time they will send a cooler that is not defective .

that does sound like zerotherms fault and not the eggs.

Why zero btw? Xigmatek is the one receiving all the raves atm.

xbit did a review , zerotherm was better than TRUE. also the mounting system with xigmatek coolers is not gr8, and nobody knows the correct way to apply thermal compund to heatpipes .

Then xbit is the only place that got better temps with the Zerotherm. In every review I've seen, the TRUE beats out the ZT fairly easily, and the Xigma beats them both.

No way in hell is it the eggs fault. They did not make the product. They only sell items from other manufacturers.

reorder a xigmatek 1283 .. you wont be dissapointed ...

+1 to Wile Es comment. Its not really hard. I put a tad bit on all three pipes. Had great suction and spreading and is lovely. Best damn air cooler Ive ever owned.

Just spread it out on the processor just like you would with any other h/s

i never said its egg's fault. i commended their customer service . i questioned Zerotherm.

u guys who are satisfied with xigmatek cooler , can u post pics of it in ur case ?

also will it have any clearance issues with GIGABYTE EX-38 DS4 ?
if i get a defective item this time i'll order xigmatek cooler .

Are you ordering or are they sending you "open box" stuff? I have ordered and used zerotherm stuff before..... never been happy with them. Xigmatek, Zalman and some Thermaltake stuff is all I will personaly use anymore.

Here is a picture of it in my cosmos

I had a good temp drop between the Cooler Master Hyper TX-2 and the Xigmatek 1283.. The only problem I have with the Xigmatek is that it doesn't like the fact that my northbridge is tall. But a little bit of push then its works!

just intsalled a xigmatek 1283 an hour ago, pretty simple and effective - no movement or wiggle at all on 775, so it seems a good cooler for lanparty use. (my TRUE has slight wiggle to it, mostly due to the weight)

It seriously seems a very stable cooler considering its push pin design, kinda impressed - and the fan mounting with the rubber grommets seems like a good idea.

They do allow you if you write to Xigmatek them selves to get the back panel bolt on kit for free.. If you can show them proof of buying it... But, if not, its a $7.99 kit.. US dollars

Contact the Zerotherm US rep directly. There is a link on the Zerotherm website. I needed an extra retention bracket for my Nirvana. I talked to the rep, who was very helpful. He sent me a free bracket priority mail. He shipped it out that day!

i also think they are sending me open box stuff. how can a company packed product be missing a retention bracket . :twitch:
