I have to ask you a favor ;)
My NVMe is PM991 256GB MZ-VLQ2560HAJD-000H1
PCI\VEN_144D&DEV_A809&SUBSYS_A801144D&REV_00
Motherboard both revisions of X58A-UD3R
I flash both with your bioses and both won't see MVMe drive and hangs on detecting drives.
Can you help me and write bioses form my NVMe please and bless you for al your free job for us!
My second NVMe drive is: PCI\VEN_1C5C&DEV_1527&SUBSYS_15271C5C&REV_00
Maybe fot this one will be better to write bios for it? You know better ;)

Can anyone help me get a GA-X58A-UD3R Rev 2.0 to work with the following m2 SSD

EDILOCA EN600 Pro 1tb

PCI\VEN_1E4B&DEV_1202&SUBSYS_12021E4B&REV_01
PCI\VEN_1E4B&DEV_1202&SUBSYS_12021E4B
PCI\VEN_1E4B&DEV_1202&CC_010802
PCI\VEN_1E4B&DEV_1202&CC_0108

I've tried Ismail's bios Mods for this board however my ven and dev id's aren't currently in the list.
I have spent days learning to try and update them myself but award bios doesn't make it easy. I've tried Cbrom_155 opromcfg and can insert the rom but I do not know how to rebuild the bios so that my new oprom isn't at the bottom of the list.

Here is a picture of my current attempt to mod the bios. I have flashed this and the m2 drive still won't show up in the Bios.

Please and thank you to anyone who can help me out, I'm starting to lose my mind with this.

Thanks so much for trying but it didn't workout. I got stuck on the bios post screen and it wouldn't load after that. I think we were at the same issue of having the oprom last before the minit module. I read that nvme oprom needs to be configured before that minit module in order to work. That's where i am stuck with it because i'm not sure how to rebuild the bios after extracting all the modules. Let me know what you think but thanks again!

Hi.
for me the same procedure works on my Asus Sabertooth x58. Make sure, that your Bios settings are correct.
May be, you have to reset only the CMOS on your board.
This Oprom is configured correct via the legacy Oprom from the 950Pro for your nvme device, that you tell me.
Go to Bios with your nvme device connected and take a look, if this device is now listed as a new IDE device and set it on first place for boot

Hi @DnDzSAS ,
here is your modded Bios for your board Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R (rev. 2.0)
for your nvme disk. Bios is checked by hand for to be correct.

My gratitude knows no bounds for your work.:love::love:
Everything worked. M2 is now visible as a system drive. M2 started with WIN 11 installed from another PC, strange but everything works. I am attaching the report.

The question may be off topic, but I’ll ask if anyone knows - I can’t install a fresh WIN 11 with TPM 2.0 disabled on this drive, I tried different ISO images but it gives an error after installation 0xc0000001. With another image, error 0x8007025D during installation.

Question to the whole forum, maybe someone knows what the problem is with the loading logo? (last GIF picture) Changing the picture to another using Gigabyte proprietary software and flashing the BIOS does not help. I used different graphic cards. The only thing that helps is disabling the logo completely in the BIOS settings.:(

It’s strange, but when I disable LAN in the BIOS, error 0xc0000001 goes away and the OC starts

Sorry, you were right, it’s all about the GPU, the older card adequately showed me the loading logo. The only problem left is installing Windows 11

Is this still being support to EXPAND the collection list for LGA1366 motherboards. I am very interested in Looking for an upfate BIOS that WILL support NVME and make it bootable. The Computer is a Dell T3600 LGA1366. The board is updated already to A17 BIOS and running X5680 3.33GHZ and excels to 3.8ghz with no issues. Its running an OCZ SSD but thinking of upgrading to NVME. Could someone update the support to include this if they could. Thank you.

Anyone know where about is the nvme module in the bios as it for ASUS P6X58D-E I have the MMTool for editing it as just need to know where it located as I have already reflashed the motherboard with the updated Marvell controller which have the latest revision module . Since I don't want to reflash it with the bios provided in here losing the latest revision module in the process. I will make a dump of it incase something goes wrong since I have the Marvell controller working with windows 10 haven't had any issues with it using two crucial SSD mx500 and mx300 not raided the read speed topped out about 490mb and write speed topped out 235mb comparing to Intel chipset it tops out 270mb for read and write speed. Just need to expand the storage for faster access using the pci-e slots. Any help would be great

I have a Gigabyte X58USB3 Rev1.0.

Somehow the X58 NVME BIOS from the first post does not work for me. I flashed the original Gigabyte F5C BIOS Version already and it works fine. But the F5C NVME version from the rar-file does not work for me. I tried all 3 methods of flashing:
- Qflash: "Invalid BIOS Image!" (this is after upgrading to F3N or F5C 2mb BIOS. Before it was "Bad Filesize" or similar).
- DOS bootdisk: Put the BIOS File and the included FLASHSPI.EXE on a fresh formatted DOS Bootdisk. FLASHSPI.exe will say "!! BAD BIOS FILE!!"
- @bios: It will flash the BIOS and restart without any problems, only to fail to Post and then eventually recover from the second BIOS. I am then back to Version F2, so i have to flash F5C original again.

Has something been changed with the File which has not yet been tested? Is there a known good version (with checksum?) of the BIOS File for the X58USB3 out there?
Thank you all in advance!

Seems like something in the nvme bios is not liking your board in a specific way. You may have to dump the latest bios from your board and patch the nvme module to the latest original bios then reflash it back to the board to see if it working otherwise it something to do with the nvme bios might look the same in naming terms but what inside of it may not match the board therefore failing to post after you flashed the nvme bios

Whats the difference in dumping the image from the board and using the one from Gigabyte which i flashed onto it? It should be the same, since it is exactly what i flashed onto it. Maybe the Dual BIOS is the culprit here?

I have so far only done simpler BIOS mods. On a B85 board I injected the generic NVME Module, which went fine. But from what i understand there is not enough space on a 2MB / 16Mbit ROM to allow for such generic drivers, so the Solution on x58 is different.

This why you use the bios on the board as you stated that the latest original bios works without the modification. Then when you used the modified nvme bios it failed to post regardless. As for space limitation issue on the bios you have to remember you have to delete some portion of a specific area of the bios in order to add the nvme module and editing it to suit a specific pci-e m-2 adaptor card. It not as simple as flashing the bios and plug and play at the same time. We are talking about 16 megabits = 2 megabytes of data it so small it the central brain of the motherboard. If we had 32 megabits = 4 megabytes we would have all the features with modifications and more space available to use

Ismail doesn't seem to be active on here anymore. To confirm for the Asus Sabertooth X58 bios mod - does it already have built in support for the Samsung 970 Evo Plus? The Samsung 970 Evo Plus is listed as one of the NVME that was tested, but it was my understanding that you had to request a custom bios mod from him that he would send to the requestor individually once you determined which SSD you were going to use for your build (because he needed to add it to the bios so its recognized). Can someone please confirm before I try and flash this new bios?

Thanks,

Hi

the 970 evo plus 500GB is already added to the bios uploaded. As the boot drive does not have to be huge 500GB will suffice for me. Adding a larger NVME drive as a secondary data drive for games etc, does not need additional modding of the bios file. Which makes sense since this tread is about adding native support of NVME drives so no one needs to use the software workaround to be able to boot from an NVME drive.

There, I hope this explains the gist of this thread in a nutshell.

Hi, my problem is that my Adata XPG SX8200 Pro SSD is not showing up in the ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 BIOS, I just haven't tried but couldn't boot from it, I've tried installing Windows from under the system and tried from the pre-built one but I couldn't start with it, I installed the latest version of your modified BIOS but nothing happened, I would be very grateful if you could help me.

Anyone else having issues cloning the O/S to the NVME from a SATA 6 SSD? On numerous programs it hangs around 54%. I checked the parent hard drive and there are no errors in disk check or powershell. Any ideas? After installing the Bios mod the drive is fully viewable in the bios and on the computer so everything else seems to be working well. I'm leaning towards doing a fresh install of windows but was trying to avoid this. Thanks in advance.

Is it possible to add NVME support to Asus P5E Delux and Asus ASUS P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe ?
