I'm buying a new pc in a month, gonna try to take advantage of boxing day sales and gotta buy before new year for taxes reasons
CPU/BOARD
- 4770k / Asus Z87 Pro (I need wireless, is this the better choice without going too high on the price of the board and buying a wireless card? I'm also overclocking) / (Is it worth spending extra 400$ for a 4930k and a x79 board?)
GRAPHICS CARD
- gtx770 4GB or gtx780 or amd 290
I was thinking going SLI/crossfire in a year or so with a new one.
MEMORY
- TridentZ/RipjawsZ 2133mhz CL9 32GB
they seem to have a great price/performance ratio, but is it worth it or should i go for something simple like crucial ballistix sport 1600mhz?
WINDOWS DISK
- Samsung Pro 256GB
Or EVO? 500GB costs quite a bit, maybe not worth it.
OTHER DISKS
- Was thinking of buying 3 extra disks, 3 x Seagate 7200.14 3GB. 2 in RAID 0 for extra speed of scratch files, previews, page files, downloads, mostly stuff i don't mind losing in case of disk fail. The other one would be a project disk. These disks are very cheap right now, but is it worth it going for the high prices of caviar blacks or something like that? Or any other recommendations?
PSU
- Corsair RM1000 or Cooler Master V1000?
Do I even need 1000W considering the 4 hard drives, overclocking and the extra graphics card i will get later on? Do you have better recomendations?
COOLER
- Noctua D14 (I have no problem going for water but I've been seeing so many comparisons where the noctua performs very similar, sometimes better, and it doesn't sound thaaaat much. You guys have different experiences?)
Case, keyboard, mouse, dvd drive and monitor aren't needed, I already got them.
