The FSP Hydro PTM 650 W is a power-efficient design that's reasonably priced and looks nice. However, competition in this segment is strong and includes the Corsair RM650x and Seasonic Focus Plus Platinum and Gold.

I love FSP stuff... my favorite powersupplies - you can hear a mouse fart from across the room at full load with these.

I have the 750W version of this - worth every penny.

I just read the review for this and the 750W version which is about 1.5 years old now, it seems they have gone backwards with the 650W unit.

Price / performance wise I think currently it's Seasonic Focus Plus Gold and BitFenix Whisper M series are the ones to get.
