i have 2600 pro (palit 256mb gddr3) and a powercolor 2600XT (256mb gddr3), how can I enable the crossfire in my system? The CCC detects say i need to connect the crossfire bridge? but there is no CF bridge bundle on my VC, i think all? I can enable the crossfire if i try to adjust the setting of slider, but after click ok my PC hangs or when i check the CCC the CF is already disable and need to check the CF bridge?

MY RIG is

MSI K9A platinum
1gig mem (kingston ddr2)
AMD X2 5000+
600 watts PSU
2600XT in master
2600pro in slave
80gig sata

I don't think that you can do CF with 2 different cards, yet!(correct me if i'm wrong) But I do think that you can run 2 cards in CF with the same core. About the CF bridge, you can buy it separately.

but how? My GPU is 2600 pro and 2600xt?

you can crossfire 2600xt without a cf bridge

you can't
at least on intel chipsets with 2x 8x pci-e slots with the latest drivers, you need to have the bridges, and i'm not sure you can cf a pro with a xt (because of lack of bridges on the 1st)

here is the chart from AMD

Well if the charts right..than yeah. It would make sense since the pro's just an underclocked xt.

when i check my GPU, the 2600XT have a slot for crossfire bridge(like the nvidia SLI) while the 2600 pro have no slot for crossfire bridge.

no, it's not. it uses a different pcb and memory.

Uh oh me thinks I was wrong

Shit I never knew you could crossfire a X1950XT with a X1900XT... There you go, you learn something new everyday.

@ Ompak... what mb are you using mate??

see 1st post
MSI K9A platinum ;)

Some different vendors don't like to xfire, and you will need to make sure that the card in particular is capable of internal xfire.

hmmm... it means i need to buy again a new 2600xt for slave? and a crossfire bridge? or another 2600 pro for software crossfire!

have you tried swapping the cards between slots?

yup only this time! and now i cannot access the CCC, its same when i enable the crossfire when my XT was in master and the PRO on slave, I already re-install the ATI driver and CCC and still i cannot access the CCC to enable the crossfire.

what catalyst are you on?

that's odd. well, i think that chart may be off, lol. first off, you don't need any sort of bridge or dongle for 1950xtx's... just ask damulta. also, it says you connect 2600pro's with an internal brodge, but there's no connectors, wtf?

chart is wrong, and so are the drivers release notes sayign bvridgeless cf is possible with 7.10 (it isn't, i tried)

woot, go ati!

Lets see some screen shots of CCC.

Have you installed the driver again? One time I had to reinstall my O//s for some odd reason to get it to work.

Soft may be available but not recommended.

they said in some forum, if my card is 2 2600 pro there is no problem in crossfire but since i have 2600 xt and a 2600 pro, there is no way i can enable the crossfire meaning the chart from amd is useless!!! i should use same core GPU but XT and pro is the same core?

You might be able to do it with internal adaptors.

I don't know if you can flash a pro into an XT either.
