899,-

Are they silly

1 year warranty

Yep...snake oil nonsense.

What's snake oil about this?

Overinflated audiophile nonsense and accompanying price. This is way beyond sense. And the warranty confirms it - below par. Yet another China knockoff meant for fools with money..

If you read Shenzhen you know this is junk. The place is the breeding ground for all thats wrong with China's copy factory.

Knock-off of what? You are throwing quite a few accusations for this specific product, which is from a Taiwanese company anyway, without any actual facts behind it.

Youre right. Misread and assumed. But its still a nonsensical product for which there is a niche market, I guess :)

899 is ridiculous for earbuds no matter what.

These aren't even earbuds, sometimes it's best to not assume and post :)

  • Treble response lets down the rest of the tuning
  • Not enough range for instruments to shine
  • Narrow soundstage, middling imaging
  • More bass might have shown off the driver better
Does it really matter what type of mobile audio device we are talking about with those negatives + $899 price tag (with only one-year warranty)?
At that price point, there should, in my opinion, only be smaller nitpicking about the main function of the product. If at all.

It kinda screams: “we barely trust our cables / connectors for a year” and “please pay our R&D in the first batch, because the product most likely will not be competitive in the market after said year”.

I do get the one-year warranty issue, and I'll pass it on again. It's just sadly the norm in the audio world, but remains an issue here nonetheless. The rest are in comparison to other similarly tuned/priced items as mentioned in the penultimate page, not absolute faults.

I just wanted to say, I really enjoyed the first two paragraphs of the conclusion. :) I find it cool when an editor "geeks" out and you feel that he knows what he is talking about. The product itself, I will never be a target audience for ~$900 earphones. Not because they are bad, it's just I can't afford it. And also, I am not a fan of in-ear plugs, like ever. May be, because I mainly have bottom of the barrel stuff, but it seems to me in-ear buds always push stuff inside your ear, that's not supposed to be there. Over the ear FTW! ;)

Plenty of over-ears here waiting to be covered, and ranging from $50 to $6000!
