I really would suggest just waiting the month until RX 7900 XTX comes out. It will be significantly better than the 3080 Ti in rasterisation and pretty close in ray tracing (Would probably be 95% of the 3080 Ti in RT)

Not a great price, but not horrible either...

If it has the features/specs you want/need, I'd jump on it asap...

And FYI, the new AMD cards have been announced already out, but should only be marginally different from the 3080...

That just seems kind of hefty of a price when we have a new gen coming out. Since you linked an amazon.com page I'd guess you're in the States. 3-4 months ago I would have suggested to check out EVGA.com and see what they have left in stock since they have cards reasonably priced, but they're out of pretty much everything (just looked). They did have some 3080 and 3080Ti available back then, everything priced under $900 for the models they still had for sale.

EVGA does have a couple of 3070s, one going for $660 and another for $720, but those prices are high now.

A few months ago those prices would have been about on part with what other retailers were selling cards for.....but now those prices are bit high when I compare them to what Micro Center is selling 3070s for, starting at $540.

It's hard to say yes, go for it, knowing RDNA3 is coming out and will be priced at or under the 3080Ti you're looking. So, you either wait and try getting a better AMD card that's about to release or you pull the trigger and get a card now. Weigh your pros and cons and make a decision.

For me, Im going to be creating content and streaming so the current encoder/AMD card I already have isnt really enough or working for me. Depends on how good the new ones really are tho....

Terrible price, they can be had for $600-700 new on ebay.
