I'm going to be doing a full new build at end of year 980 TI + I7 etc. I'm going to get a new monitor from my 5+Yr ASUS 1080p crap monitor, I can't decide on what res to get.

Can someone give PRO's/CON's to both would like personal experience. I mostly play Racing games.
Currently looking for info on just res once I go to purchase look more into specific monitor's.
Will do minor things with video edit only short GoPro videos at 1080p
Though I did see this http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=113&cp_id=11307&cs_id=1130703&p_id=12156&seq=1&format=2

My games Racing is most common then Strategy. I never do MP.
