3dmark03 crashing comp

hi 3dmark03 is crashing my comp when it does the second grapics test
i get this error 0x0000008e (0xc0000005, 0xbfbff454, 0xa0e7c8dc, 0x00000000)
i have no problems while gaming or running 3dmark06 or aquamark03

It's like an iso....you download it then burning it to a cd (I think) then it boots to it and tests the memory. Just make sure your cpu is running at stock.

if you mobo doesnt support "MEMTEST" in bios...get the ISO version in a download and burn it to a cd as suggested previously......also Orthos will tell you if RAM is bad in windows first. Then if you want to be more in depth on the test , go to the ISO of memtest!

i used the one from microsoft

i have runned the test how can i fix that? change the modules?

you have run each RAM module individually? one at a time to see if it is one stick of ram or both?

As far as I know if you have a module that has errors, that stick is done(needs RMA). If both modules are not bad you can run on one of them until your new RAM arrives!

Well I would assume, but I am not tottaly possitive on this . All I can advise is to maybe wait for one of our inhouse RAM guru's to be more specific in this question.

I do suggest this tho, if your system is crashing ,I would remove the faulty stick or RAM for now. If left in the system it could continue to corrupt the HDD , and you dont want to rewrite your OS do you?

i am overclocking, but the test are at stock speeds
but i'm running the oc at these speeds on my sigy
