Anyone know of any issues with the temp sensors showing a 12-14° split between the cores, this is just a basic build for my mother since her computer died on her while I was visiting. Has the stock cooler on it, the cores keep a pretty decent separation between load and idle. Quick google search didn't come up with much. Anyone have any experience with these chips?

Motherboard: GA-MA770-UD3
Processor: 4850e
Ram: A-data 2 gig kit
Case: Some halfway decent rosewill case.
HDD: 250 gig seagate

probably a poorly milled surface on the IHS. Fancy giving her a "lap" dance? :D

Nope, both the cooler and the chip were relatively flat. Thermal paste applied evenly. I'm not too worried about it, loads under 40 on the higher side. I'm just curious if anyone had any experience with these particular chips.

I had a 5000+ BE where one core was much higher (temps.) than the other. If both cores are in safe range I wouldn't worry about it.

It appears there is also a temp sensor stuck on motherboard as well always at 79 no matter the load level. Oh well, everything is working fine, I'll run it stressed for a bit to make sure it won't have any issues.
