Ok bought myself a saphire 5870, amassive impulse buy that i can sort of afford but probably didn't need.
I am suffering from the power play issue that seems to be common with this series of card, that is a sprinkeling of green pixel artifacts when in 2d mode ie desktop etc. I have used the create profile method to raise the idle clock speeds and this does indeed improve the problem. After spending so much money on something that dosent work as advertised im a bit dissapointed. I have contacted the supplier and received an rma number but before i send it off id like some advice.
firstly are ALL these cards suffering from the same issue?? Not much point in rmaing something if the next one is the same!
also does the pixel issue indicate an underlying problem with the card? For example a dodgy memory ic that will be off to android heaven before its time?
Also I got a free copy of dirt2 with the card.
freakin rocks! but as I have already installed the game via steam how does this affect my returns refund potential?
