    Success. :)

Though dam these cards are HOT.
and it doesn't help when there is like 3mm of space between the things how the hell is air ment to get into them, how could ATI release cards with no holes in the back like they did for the 5970 to get air...

apart from that these cards in XF are wicked sick pieces of hardware.

even though the flashes went perfect and no errors in the games i have tryed

im wishing that i just flashed my original bios, i have been hearing of nightmares about people frying there memory cause the 6970 cards are ment to have tighter timings and more voltage and better memory chips, could be a problem though i dont want to take the risk should i flash back to shader unlocked versions only ?

I'd just like to say i have the Sapphire 2Gb Hd6950 and its it unlocked as well. The only Criteria seems to be it must be a ref design. It took 2 mins to do, and has yet to produce any kind of problem in any game I've tested.

A word of advice withthe xfire setup, there is a driver issue that causes some loading and selection screens in game to artifact. I was reading a few reviews for the 6990 and it also has the same problem, so read up on any artifacts before you think the modded cards have an issue. As it could just be Xfire.

Another big plus with the shader unlocked bios is that the stock core voltage is a lot lower on a 6950 than it is on the 6970. Your cards will also end up running a bit cooler. I have used the shader unlock method on three cards now and not one hasn't been able to hit at least 6970 speeds after the flash.

Your fan profile seems very aggressive. 80% fan speed would drive me insane. In actual gaming I have yet to need more than 40% but it is still pretty cool where I live.
