Just got a 7770 and i'm trying to underclock the video memory while folding. Can't figure out how. MSI afterburnder doesn't work, trixx doesn't work, barelyclocked doesn't work.

This is my first intro to the 7000 series. Anyone have any thoughts on how to underclock it in windows to 300mhz?

System:

Win 7 ultimate

underclocking the video memory has no real purpose, unless you have artifacts.

also if you are stressing the card with folding wouldnt be smart to underclock anything imo.

Unless you have to pay an electric bill. Which in my case, I do. Underclocking to 300mhz would probably save 15W.

Not folding would also save you some power. If you're really trying to squeeze something like 15-watts out of something already pretty power efficient, you may want to give up on folding. ;)

This guy is telling you the truth if your worried about 15w why even fold if you can't afforded it ?

Why get mad ?
