8600GTS SLI or save up for something else?

I can get another 8600GTS for SLI if I want, or I could wait and possibly get a more powerful single card... what do you guys reccomend?

I could sell the GTS but it has some artifacting problems related to memory if I don't use my pci slot fan so I wouldn't want to sell it anyway

and my 8500gt runs hot as hell if I don't use a pci slot fan so that's kind of out too

Save up for something else. Newegg is selling 8800GT for as low as $125, you get 8800GTS 512 for ~$150, both will own a SLI 8600GTS.

Yeah sounds good since my current 8600gts only has 256mb anyway... yeah I might even save up all the way until Christmas and get some kinda uber leet kickass card.

If the competition remains just as hot, you might be able to buy 2x 8800GTS 512 + Corsair TX650W by X-Mas.

Oh wait....Corsair says that a VX450W will be more than enough for a 9800GX2.
