I mostly use my system for gaming, and rarely pick up the latest titles. I'm thinking to use the offset of +10mV for the lower temps and then adjust as needed in the future if problems arise. Thoughts?
The cpu voltage needed for TS bench 12-thread 1024M is +40mV higher than what (offset of +10mV) could pass RealBench 2.56 stress 8GB 1 hour (twice) monitoring hwinfo64 for whea errors.
When errors come up from TS bench, moments later, whea errors will show up in hwinfo64.
I've been using fixed vcore for about one year but some times can't settle with certain ram oc. fixed vcore: 1.375v, llc 2, p3.20/3.40, realbench 2.56 avg vcore 1.315, avg vrvout 1.286.
Current preference is offset voltage. Also, not sure if my 10yr old psu would have issues with core c6/c7 states, but I won't put the system to sleep.
Config:
8700k delid+conductonaut, asrock z370 taichi (bios p3.30); speedstep, speed shift, and c3/c6/c7 (c3/c6 hidden in bios after enabled c7) enabled, ts and hwinfo showing c3 and c7 activity; speed shift epp-0 (checked), win10pro-64bit-1803, speed shift seems to ignore the min proc state of window's power profile,
update: game froze after 30 min in, game called Tera, during action sequence. Think I'll just stick with +50mV for now
