BFGTech GeForce 8800 GTS OC2 640 MB

Taken From Review, Here

BFGTech should be commended for finally producing a highly overclocked video card. Their previous “OC” line of video cards were only moderately overclocked compared to the likes of XFX’s “XXX Edition” and EVGA’s “Superclocked” editions. BFGTech is now finally competing on the high-end factory overclocking scale with their new “OC2” line of video cards. The bundle is not deep, but BFGTech has never been about the bundle. BFGTech is about performance, service and support, and they still have some of the best in the industry.

We found that overall the OC2 version did provide faster framerates in all of our games compared to a standard clocked 8800 GTS 640 MB. However, this did not provide a major gameplay advantage except in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. At 1600x1200 we were able to use a higher grass setting but the true advantage came at 1920x1200 where we were able to have higher texture quality, grass and shadow quality.

Comparing the BFGTech GeForce 8800 GTS OC2 to a GeForce 8800 GTX is also interesting. We found that in some games there is hardly any gameplay advantage at all with an 8800 GTX. This is especially so at 1600x1200 and under. If you are playing on a display at 1600x1200 and under the 8800 GTS is all you need. For 1920x1200 and up is when we start to see the GeForce 8800 GTX pull ahead of the 8800 GTS OC2. It all comes down to your display and what resolutions you will be playing at. The BFGTech GeForce 8800 GTS OC2 640 MB will run all of your games great at 1920x1200.
