Anyway, yeah, this is a project I started a couple of years ago actually. The original name was "SHell" but have since renamed THIS one to "Future Tense". SHell is a separate game to this one now. Anyway, I'm gussing you want some screenshots, so thou shalt recieve them.

Screenshots do not represent final quality of the game, or what to expect.

These are just basic shots of the level interior I made during a test map session, no weapons or anything yet. This is an FPS, in case you were wondering. There's no release yet, but I expect we'll be holding a beta soon (yay for teamwork! :D)

Anyway, yeah, I'm done advertising now.

Any suggestions what should be in it are much appreciated :D

Very nice. Perhaps you are invading an enemy stronghold, foiling a plot to launch chemical weapons at all major cities of the world, ushering in a new age of world dominance?

What about a lot of puzzle's mixed in with shooting and getting to use big ass machines to destroy stuff. Winning combo imo :D

Or take hat's idea but you are the bad guys ?

That could be good, I'll see what I can do. It's 20 mins to 3am at the minute, and my wrist is hurting from drawing up some art for you of the main character from SHell, the other game. Watch this space.

BTW, where have you been?

nice. now all you have to do is leave corpses all over the place. looks like some half-life stuff goin on. i call dibs on beta :]

Also another cool idea to add fear is for the characted to hallucinate and fight enemies that aren't actually there and aren't killable etc

what if he did that then how would they go away crazy!

aww man wouldn't that be awesome if he incorporated some modern warfare 2 guns. SCHWEET

Think about it just before you get to a corner a massive alien thing or something appears and is fast and your trying to get away and when it gets you it dissapears and you realise you've been shooting at nothing all that time.

You should add some color, the grey is very bland

is this your own game engine that you made? or is it using some sort of open source game engine?

Looks realy good, You are very talented. Could you add a beer dispencer in just for a laugh and maybee your character can drink and hallucinate see things through "beer goggles" and then throw up afterwards lol.

Please say it isn't just another horror/blood/aliens/guts game. :(

Looks really good, don't got any ideas for you, but gl!

I don't think it's anything yet, sounds like he just has it to the point where he can create the levels he wants.

This is where it gets complicated.

THIS game, Future Tense, is using version 1 of our engine. This version just has basic stuff - basic physics, limited graphics handling, basically only basic FPS stuff. There IS story telling in there, but it's limited in capabilities. As such, FT is basically run and gun.

SHell on the other hand, we're redesigning the engine from scratch. This enables a higher detail for story telling, and NPCs have te ability to talk. The AI is also greatly improved, and you should never have the same runthrough twice. It also has multiple endings, but I won't go into too much detail. We're also working on, though it may not be implemented, a system where if you take too much damage, until you heal, you can't do various things depending on where you were hit: Arms, can't hold some weapons or decreased accuracy. Legs, can't run and limp when walking.

But yeah, version 1 is pretty much done. Version 2 just entered the useability stage, so we're workign on the games side-by-side.

Another thing I'll mention, if I'm allowed, is that we contacted Valve. We're working on getting these games up on Steam :D

Hope that cleared it up for you.

IT it is looking great. Do you have a web site ?

Very nice Ben was wondering what had happened to you just figured you were do youngin stuff lol. Looks really good so far the valve bit sounds pretty cool love to see uncle Ben on steam lol.

May I ask what API you are using for rendering?

Bump we want more pictures Ben!!! :)

Have you answered this yet Ben?

Make it a First Person Sneaker like system shock/bioshock/thief and you'll win me over :D
