Hey guys,
I just wanted to slide in and make a quick little comment.
It seems with the release, many people got the "gotta get the new stuff" fever. Well, its not as bad as we see. I see people run the benchmarks, tests, and test frame rates of card and show the differences. Well, I just want to let it go out there that we seem to miss the point of what alot are going for. The games...
Just remember. Don't be to p.o.ed that something came out at a great price and you feel bummed you got something else. Still, the 8800 GTS/GTX are still GREAT cards for todays games. They have there differences, but as long as you get frames that don't jump around and stay consistent, it really doesn't matter. Don't let the benchmarkers out there get in the way of your fun. So you get 1000 points less. Not like its a 10000 point difference.
I just want to show this because I came from a laptop (as my quote...gaming system in college) with a x600 in it, to the 8800 GTX, and I still drool in amazement. I've seen those GTS cards too, though there is a small difference, there is not even a canyon comparison from a jump I made (unless you had something lower)
Just remember, don't let hardware wars get in the way of you blasting rockets 10 feet from someones face, or sniping a mile away. Benchmarks mean nothing in the world of smiles, screaming, and a good evening of fun.

(PS- Yes a Corvette can fly, but I'd rather cruise at 45 down the Blue Ridge Parkway when the leaves change - google images ftw)
