My gaming computer gets a bit of a downgrade to help with the kids and their computer needs. So my gaming pc now consists of...

Thermaltake Level 10 case
FX 8350 CPU with stock cooler
Asus M5A97 r2 Motherboard
2 x 4gb sticks of Corsair DDR3 1600
128gb SSD boot drive and 500gb SSD data drive
Gigabyte RTX 2070 super graphics card
AX1200i PSU

Since building it I just had to swap out the stock cooler. It was ridiculously loud. So it now has a Corsair 240 AIO fitted to the case roof space. This pc set up has the cpu running at around 50 degrees under stress test loading (using CPU-Z stress test) and runs really quietly, particularly as both the PSU and GPU have stop start fans.

PC runs my prefered game, World of Tanks at ultra settings at around 120 FPS on the 27" 1080 165 Hz monitor. GPU runs at 100 load while CPU fluctuates around 70% load. Im very pleased with it, despite its well known drawbacks the old FX is keeping up for my needs for now.

Part 1 and part 2 are separate posts 13 mins apart.
yes, about two different builds. If thats not OK im happy to delete. *edit* there were four builds undertaken over a couple of days, i just posted about what I felt was the two more interesating ones.

Just call then Build 1 and Build 2 (not part 1 and part 2)

Doubled up the RAM. We now have 2 x 8gb sticks of DDR3 1600

Improved cooling. We now have a Corsair 240 AIO.

Interestingly the excellent software FanControl can control one AIO fan but not the second one, they were both plugged into their own motherboard headers. Is this likley to be an issue with a fan header or the fan itself do you think?
