So you didn't watch the video posted earlier from LTT showing Linus playing Doom and getting solid gameplay on an 8K display... Maybe you should give that a view. Just throwing it out there.

There is nothing wrong with sponsored videos. Get off your high horse.
Regardless whether the video is sponsored or not, it still is proof that 8K@60fps is possible on 3090. You just choose not to believe it.

Yeah, I think at this point, he is either in denial or just doesn't wanna admit that he is wrong or both.
There is nothing wrong for a company to perform marketing and promotion on any product. From a napkin to whatever money can buy.
That is not what I'm saying and do not distort my sayings that the 3090 is not 8K gaming card, just because it does on a few selected titles. It cant do it on all games.
Its like claiming a car has X terminal velocity, but guess what... it does it only on declined roads...

There are dozens of games out there. Until a card can do on all of them 8K 60Hz or FPS, its not a
First card in history to do 8k gaming at solid 60hz.

Of cousre I've seen that LTT video and before it was linked in here.

Spare me with your alleged claims about my denial/nonadmition and the highhorsesh1ts please...
Try better to cancel me.

Chillax... Nobody here is trying to cancel you... Or at least, not me. I don't speak for Lex. We're just trying to prove to you that 3090 can do 8K@60fps. You are the only one who is distorting our words here by saying that 3090 is JUST an 8K GPU when we are also talking about that it can also do steady 60fps. Read back on our previous comments if you are not convinced.

And being able to do it on a few select titles (which is currently the only titles) already more than proves that 3090 IS an 8K 60fps gaming GPU when only one was needed for 3090 to be able to claim that it can do 8K@60fps.

Don't expect it to be able to claim that on ALL games though because it logically can't. The other games would need to have native support for 8K & not all game devs will do that on their games right now especially with older titles. Without native support, it'll just be upscaling from 4K or lower which would make your demand for all games to be able to do 8K@60fps be pointless. And upscaling to 8K@60fps is not the claim here.

LOL!
We don't need to. Your silly nonsense is there for all to see.
It cant do it on all games.
Just an FYI, Doom is a GPU-centric game. MANY other games that are CPU-centric will run better. But some will run worse. Shouldn't be by much though.

Nope, couldn't care less.

Now, back on topic: There is a rumor that there will be an 9GB version of the 3060TI. If true, THAT card will be a sweet-spot card for budget minded gamers this gen of cards, even if AMD has some Radeon sweetness up it's sleeve, which it seems to..

One gig more than the 3070 but with a tad bit lower performance? That's odd. Still rather skeptical with having 9GB VRAM until the rumor comes true... Don't get me wrong, that is pretty sweet indeed if it does happens. Moar 4K for the mid-to-high-rangers....

Remember, the 3060 will be 192bit memory bus, so the amounts will be in 3GB increments. From the computer math point of view it's both logical and plausible.

Dammit, I forgot to take the memory bus width into account. :nutkick: In hindsight, I never got to know the memory bus width & the VRAM on the 3060. Prolly, still using GDDR6 instead of the 6X variant on both cards.

How come there is already talks of 3060 Ti when the 3060 itself hasn't even rear it's head?

The China leaks and rumor talk in various parts of the net. Everyone knows both are coming. But the specs are open for debate. The 3070 has turned out to be exactly what NVidia said it was, a match for the 2080TI. So it seems logical to deduce that the 3060/3060ti as well as the 3080ti/3070ti will be incoming as production binning moves forward.
