Hi guys I have a acer nitro 5 that has a intel 10300h and a gtx1650 4gb I followed someone’s guide online and managed to underfoot me cpu and cache but then started getting red errors in the limits screen. I have managed to run the laptop stacked up now on a laptop screen and are getting temps of 80-83 under load so I am wanting to basically remove throttle stop how do I do this? Do I need to reflags my bios also? Thanks everyone

To remove ThrottleStop delete the ThrottleStop folder. Reboot and your undervolt will be gone if that is what you are trying to accomplish.

Did you read:

"Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any damage that might ensue from trying this yourself."

It looks like that guide unlocks undervolting. If you do not run ThrottleStop then your CPU should be at default voltage.

Run HWiNFO to see what it reports. It should show 0.000 V for all of the offsets.

I’ve re flashed the bios now guys and it says locked on throttle stop thanks for all your help and for taking time out to get back to me that guide I followed must edit your bios also

Also uncle web I had it running great temps but was showing pl2 and pl1 errors and a other one also I did plenty of reading but couldn’t find out how to get rid of errors so resorted back to default

It worked successfully buddy just wanted to put it back to stock settings

was showing pl2 and pl1 errors
Power limit throttling is common on 10th Gen mobile CPUs when the PL1 turbo power limit is set to the default value which is usually 45W. Many Acer laptops enforce this 45W power limit.

That is why undervolting is important. Less voltage lowers power consumption. This allows your CPU to run faster without exceeding the 45W limit. It makes no sense to disable undervolting.

If I redo it could you give me some advice with the errors at all? I have it running on a laptop stand now and the highest I’ve seen it hit is 85 at rare times. It tends to sit at 78-83 when playing warzone do you think that will be ok?

Boxes lighting up red in Limit Reasons are not errors. This information is just explaining to you why your CPU is not running at full speed. Power limit throttling is common for laptops. Manufacturers think their customers would not be happy with a high power, hot running laptop on their customer's lap.

Temperature throttling and power limit throttling are two separate things. Even if your temperatures are OK, you can still have power limit throttling.

If you want me to look for any issues post some screenshots of ThrottleStop including the FIVR and TPL windows. Turn on the Log File option on the main screen and go play a game for at least 15 minutes so I can see how your laptop is performing. You can attach a log log file and some ThrottleStop screenshots to your next post. The log should be in your ThrottleStop / Logs folder.

Ok cheers pal I’m away. Own until Sunday so I will do it then for you thanks pal! Also am I best to have speedster enabled. Do you have any guides you’d recommend to follow?

am I best to have speedster enabled
What is speedster? Are you talking about ThrottleStop? Just run ThrottleStop as is. Post screenshots of ThrottleStop so I can see how the BIOS has setup your CPU. I need to see some sort of baseline before I can make any suggestions. There is no need to change anything unless you have some sort of problem.

When I had it running the other day the only values I changed was the cpu core and cache ? I set the cpu core to -110mw and the cache to -80 mv and it was running stable no crashes and lowered my temps to the high 70s in game also I meant speed step sorry for the auto spell

SpeedStep
Most laptops with 10th Gen processors automatically enable the newer Speed Shift Technology. When Speed Shift is enabled, it does not matter whether the older SpeedStep is enabled or not. When using ThrottleStop, look for SST in green on its main window. That confirms if Speed Shift is enabled.

Thanks buddy for your replies and your help I really appreciate it when im back Sunday il run it through a few games again what do you recommend to start off with as voltages for cpu core and cache ?

I do remember my speed step being set to 128 automatically and also green aswell if that means anything to you

Are you going to unlock CPU voltage control again?

-50 mV for the core and the cache offsets is usually a safe place to start testing. Some similar 10th Gen mobile CPUs are stable at approximately -75 mV.

I do remember my speed step being set to 128
Speed Shift EPP might have been set to 128. That is a typical default value. SpeedStep and Speed Shift are two different things.
