Hello,
I was planning on adding in another 7850 to my rig since I knew my MB had another PCIE slot free and Newegg has one for stupid cheap so I ordered one. The problem is I didn't take into account where the slot was in relation to my case and the fact my case only has 4 bays total and the cards each use two.
The slot setup is:
PCI-E (GPU here)
PCI-E 1x (Covered)
PCI
PCI-E
Now obviously if my case had 5 slots then this wouldn't be an issue, but stuck with four I can't see a solution. I know I could get a riser to move it to a different slot, but with the only option the PCI slot I don't think I could use since the connection would get in the way.
Any ideas or am I stuck? I'm willing to buy adapters, but not a new case or MB.
